Thats like the lazies turbo response I've ever seen. Even at like 2k rpm when they were doing those rolls the comparatively huge 6758 pulled harder than that thing.

This ^^

Hopefully they'll release a drag race video and or a 'track' video. But knowing them, it'll end up in the quarter mile.

Yeah that's what I figured, doesn't seem to make a nice round K measurement either.
Maybe it's some sort of imperial wentworth equivalent or something???

Might explain the dyno's down there too.

Im just as confused as you are, so I did a google search and only found that a few tracks in the states list a 1264ft strip, and this house on Drag Strip Rd is 1264 square feet.

Guys, this result was pretty much as expected... I would have liked to see a stock MX5's time as I recon it too would be equally as competitive in those conditions and type of course.

The autokhana / motorkhana tests in this video are fairly representative of our shorter tests in Australia which are nothing like you run in the US. Our motorkhanas are tight and 1st / reverse gear only. The autotests, especially our club ones, are only 1st and 2nd gear, maybe 3rd if you run stupid diff ratios like me.

Here is a quick promo video from the Australian Motorkhana Championship so you can see that they are more technical than fast. They are tight, with reversing, handbrake turns etc...

In all tests, a well setup N/A car will win every time. Maybe a good turbo / supercharger setup can compete if driven well, but only on the more open courses. Handling and car control is all that is required.

On the street, track and drag strip it's a totally different story. Also, I'm not sure why we get into these supercharger vs turbo vs N/A debates. Each have different pros / cons and there is good reason to run any set up depending on the driver preference and type of motorsport.

So, 1264' is 37.333333 cubits less than 1/4 mile. There's the 37 again. I'm buying a lotto ticket 12, 33, 37, 60, 64.

1264 feet is about 1/8 of a femto-parsec.

no one here gives a **** about these shitty courses.

Hey lets compare these two different power booster setups [that aren't setup for MotorKhana], by testing suspension and our shitty driving skills in the rain.

I'm surprised their dyno video wasn't comparing how well each could back onto the rollers.

Turbo vs Supercharger Part 5: Rear View Visibility.
Turbo vs Supercharger Part 6: Parallel Parking.
Turbo vs Supercharger Part 7: Which makes the better Uber car.

Really pretty disappointed with part 4. They could have done a lot better job with it. Now at car meets I'll get to spend my time explaining to people the falsities of that episode and how a turbo setup is still a way better setup. I normally really like MCM but Moog really got on my nerves in that episode. Kept just pushing it forward when it kinda seemed like Marty wanted to atleast try to please the miata crowd somewhat. Also, how can NB's be the ugliest version!? has he seen nc1's?

I do agree with this. Would have loved to see it with an MP62 or a Whipple. Not sure if anyone in Australia makes maita setups with those though.

Yeah, he lost all credibility there. Everyone knows that NBs are the best-looking Miatas, especially NB1s.

Nobody really does make any kit in Aus, but there is an assortment of cars with various USA made supercharger kits here. I have an FFS kit myself which the previous owner shipped over.
