Thats stupid. My car makes flat torque from 3500-7000. Lets me shift less. Less shifting, faster lap times.

concealer404 10-18-2017 04:49 PM

Because he bought a pile of parts and a half finished project from someone else, didn't bother reading anything put in front of him, said everyone else sucks, that his stuff is the best, with no sort of evidence of any kind to back anything up.

It's like inheriting your Dad's bowling ball, then proclaiming to the world that you're the best bowler ever.

And you've never thrown a frame.

Your car makes flat torque from 3500-7000 if you start at 2000rpm. You're still in the wrong gear if you're south of 4000rpm.

aidandj 10-18-2017 04:55 PM

It will make 200ft/lbs at 3500rpm whether i start at 2krpm or 3400rpm.

concealer404 10-18-2017 05:01 PM

This is autism to the nth degree.

ryansmoneypit 10-18-2017 05:23 PM

Torque doesn't matter, power does. If not down shifting at 3500 RPM makes you faster, you are really slow at shifting. The fact that you have more power at higher RPM's (say 6000 vs. 3500, not sure of what the typical shift differential would be from a typical track gear) means you'd have much more torque at the wheels in the more appropriate gear. Unless your power drops off and you actually have more torque at the wheels in a higher gear, lower RPM.

I'm jelly.

I also agree that vvt doesnt matter on track. if you are below 4k, you are in the wrong gear.

Also haven't read the whole thread lol... carry on

They hate me cause they aint me :dealwithit:

Thanks for being real and not hiding behind a curtain of envy. I really appreciate it and hope I get to show you what this build becomes.......if the hate doesn't consume the moderators.

No envy here. Sounds like a big waste of money :D

I'm always consumed with hate. Don't take it personally. :fawk:

Still waiting on pictures. And Dyno plots.

It sounds like you're analyzing this in torque by gear when torque is typically measured at the gear that is or closest to 1. That's what the previous remark is referring to so you comment is like an orange to his apple.

Still waiting on proof that you know what you're doing. Perhaps we will have it, and the lauding will commence.

What do you want pictures of exactly? lol I just posted pictures like 3 days ago of the car and various parts. I will only get to work on the car 1-2 days per week as I'm also in the middle of an addition to my house(addiing on a 2400 sq ft garage) Want pics of that too?!? I should still have it cleaned up and running by the end of the year.

Why don't you just chill out and be patient? It's only been like 2 weeks since I got the car. Being rude isn't going to make me build it any faster and whether I post other projects or don't wont change what I'm doing either and why would I want to prove my skills to people that are rude and demanding?

I was just as Zion a couple weeks ago and would have came and given you a hug if I'd known how in need you are of one:ky:

mitymazda 10-18-2017 11:29 PM

OP continue to build out your lair or adding a garage or whatever to your bridge, and let's see what you can make with the combination of someone else's project leavings and your brilliance. There is a opportunity to make the Nay Sayers eat crow, I don't think you can capitalize on it though.

Torque at the wheels changes, not torque at the motor.
