Hmm, maybe.. the high-n-tight crowd didn't take kindly to those damn kids and their English rock bands (the Beatles come to mind) so maybe it was the same with those kids and their tiny English cars.

I"m near town n county in tampa. The commute to USF is roughly 20 minutes on a good day. Speaking of the commute, I saw a sick looking smurf blue NA on the way to school at about 11:30 on hillsborough. Fog lights, hard top and lowered.

I never tell people I own a miata.

I tell them its rwd, a turbo 4 cyl, limited slip, and 2000lbs.

They always guess Lotus.

You know....I've had this same conversation with other people....I think it's the same as owning a scooter. I've pulled up next to a harley while on a scooter I own only to have them give me the "that's stupid" look....then they speed away.....then you go around the outside of them on a turn at the next stoplight while they're still dragging their feet around the corner...kinda fun....
