New, from the dark side.
I came over from CR, trying to come where the smart people post.
Interested in learning about engine management better. I'm already supercharged (just an M45, but it's fun.)
Basically, I bought the car in August 2011 bone stock, and about have it where I want it now. It's a 91.5 NA6.

It's "ARC Cool Fins" - no idea if they do anything or not, but figured I'd try it out in [temporary] lieu of an intercooler. Actually read a lot of good things about them online, but again - haven't seen if they help (and doubt they actually do.)

That said, I doubt that it's doing much actual harm. The amount of heat being transferred from the smooth, open inner surface of the charge pipe to the air passing through it is going to be extremely minimal. There's a reason that "real" intercoolers have such complex, convoluted insides, and it's not just for show.
Not hiding man.. I'm in plain site.
Dazednconfused took his trolling too far and I got blasted with collateral damage. But whatever... totally worth it. You'll soon realize how totally sucky that website was.
I'm pretty low key on this forum though. Glad to see you around though
look forward to your build
