Default It's Alive (Sort Of)

Hi All,

I just finished a v2.2 paralell install on my 97.
I'm on the stock injectors running 7psi.
I want to get this sorted out before I install larger injectors.

I'm using mspsp base map for 94-95 since i'm not running hi-res.
Megasquirt is flashed with 029y4 using stock CLT and GM IAT.

Upon startup, the car was extremely rough with a blinking CEL. In my harness, there is a "cut to ecu" for FIDLE. I returned that to the stock computer and idle is 100 times better and no blinking cel.

I do have an AEM UEGO installed, but haven't connected it to megasquirt yet (just using narrowband readings)

Idle and cruise are pretty rich. 10:1 at idle and 11.8/12.1 cruise. The base map req fuel had me at 13.0. I calculated my setup and got req fuel of 11.3

This put my idle afr closer to 11:1/ cruise 12.6.

The big thing, is that when I start laying into the throttle, the car just falls flat. Aem gauge goes to lean (dashes). I don't think i'm even at 2psi at this point.

Also, I turned off autotune as the afr in volts, looks strange to me (lean voltage numbers??)

Can you guys make sense of this log and msq?
Pretty new at this

Thanks,

Joe

errr...

I noticed overboost protection is set to 1.5 psi!

Cant check it till the am, but I'm sure that's what it is.

If you guys can still look at the msq and log that would be great.
Need advice on AFR Targets as well.

Thanks!

You should definitely connect the WB02 to the MS before going much farther. Also it helps to ground the WB02 to the same ground as the ECU (back of the valve cover for us 1.6ers, not sure for you)

Hey Koto,

Yeah, I'll be doing that tomorrow. I also found a link to change the target afr table to AFR from Volts when selecting the AEM.

Start again tomorrow!
