Keep it at 0% dc until just under where you start making positive pressure--then go to 100% to make the turbo spool fast. To remove the overshoot, pull a tad bit of dc at the left side and if you have a little droop, add some dc on the right side
Look at my table posted earlier in the thread. You will be *amazed* how much faster you can get your turbo to spool up.

the idea of fully shutting the solenoid (100%) then allowing it to modulate the boost (35%) at the point where you should fully spool (3000, 4000, wherever) is a great idea for better spooling.

ok I lied, best price I could find was $27 here: http://www.grainger.com
part#6jj52 however they have the exhaust port "muffler" spongy thing, which I'm thinking about ordering if the vavle is loud at all.
FWIW, I used a new GM solenoid and it failed on me after about 2 months of use...dunno why.

damnit ... I just cant for the life of me get the damn boost control to work. I have checked my mods which I believe are correct, and used an ohmmeter to make sure there is good connectivity between the drain pin (middle one) of the FET and the output wire. This wire is connected to the black wire on the GM pigtail that I got and the other is connected to the 12v switched AFM wire. One concern I have is that on my original hooking up, I mixed up the drain and the source, could that have fried the thing? I suppose it would make sense for a burnt up fet to cause the solenoid to fully shut as it is no longer grounding out the signal anymore.
Anyway, it seems as if the thing just closes shut completely when it is hooked up and I hit the boost cut a few times (200kpa setpoint). Unplug solenoid, no more overboosting, plug it in, overboosting. The solenoid does not click or anything and megatune is not showing anything for the duty cycle.

Is the MOSFET that exact same part number? i believe if you get something other than (IRLZ44NPBF-ND) the drain the source and ground might be different.
But verify:
your "codebase ouput functions" you have boost control selected on X4.
in "boost control" increase voltage = increase boost & kPa limit for closed loop is 0.
then, in the "boost duty targets" at 0% change the first RPM number to 0 and see if your valve opens fully by blowing through it....then burn it to 100 and see if it closes. If it does you it should be working.
I suggest you change all the values at all ranges to 20 or something just to see if it will only go to wastegate pressure.

It is the same part number and I did use those exact settings and it overboosted no matter what I did, set it to 0dc and still overboosted. The lil squirt isnt grounding the signal properly. Anyway im gonna swap out the FET for the spare that I got and see if that makes a difference because other than that I have no clue what to do as I have checked and double checked my board mods, setting, and wiring. Even used a multimeter to verify that the resistors were doing their job properly.
btw, mschlang how did you get your setup to work?
pss can you get your pictures back up Scott?
