Anyways, I need to know where on the AFM connector I need to push these two wires in for the GM IAT sensor, and on a MS3x, do I need to worry about the fuel pump not coming on? Or do I need to do something with that circuit as well?
Check this out:

Spade connectors are the gm AIT sensor. If you have a 90-93 then the red wire is the fuel pump jumper.

The sensor is pretty much just a variable resistor so no polarity.

Depends on wiring. You would have to open it and look. Normally EBC is wired to Pin 6 on the MS3x. If brain and frank use the same pinouts. So find what pin on the connector the wire from that pin goes to.

Hey brain, can you tell me which in the middle connector is the wideband hookup and the EBC? Going to be able to have 2 solid days of working/tuning (hopefully!!!!) on it this weekend and want to make sure I have everything I need to get at it. Much appreciated.

Why am I oscillating? It smooths out at the end for about 5 seconds but goes right back to it.

Bought this ECU second hand. Just got finished working out everything. Had the IAT and FP hooked up backwards (car still ran lol), forgot to hook up the MAP line (car still ran) and finally after being really happy it started I messed with tuning. Got it running smoother, per se, but not happy. Changed my inj cc from the 440 it was on to 550 I have in it. Messed a tad with the idle VE to smooth the idle out a bit. But it is still fluctuating crazily.

Any help is very much appreciated.

This thing look wired up right? Got it this way, but guy sent another connector with it. My TPS values are all over the place. I can't get the same reading twice when calibrating. On most of my logs, the TPS value is going crazy.

TPS unhooked and zeroed out. Still oscillating. Has to be another setting.

Car started and idled fine cold, once it hit about 150 deg clt it started this stuff. Has to be closed loop idle? I tried to mess around with it, but it seemed like nothing helped/hurt it.

Took the TPS off completely. Car runs amazingly beautiful. Little too rich under boost, but it's a learning process. Question. I think it's called Lean Tip In. How do you tune that out? When I am coasting in gear, and go to hit the gas, it stumbles and AFR's go lean.

Normally, you'd use the TPS. This is the reason that us 1.6 owners used to use all sorts of methods to retrofit them into our cars.

The Accel_Enrich function deals specifically with the scenario of lean tip-in. It can be set to function based on MAP, TPS, or some combination of the two. If you haven't already done so, change it to 100% MAP, start increasing the sensitivity until you see it becoming active in the logs, and then start adding duration. It's a bit of a trial and error to get it balanced.

Awesome, ty sir. I just took the TPS off since it was erratic. I think either it's a bad sensor or is wired wrong. I will have to figure it out soon because I want to use it.

Went for a drive. Watched map readings on decel, set it to enable at 24, no more stumble/jerk/lean tip in. Much appreciated!

Next question. EBC setup. Right now I have overboost protection at 190 and I hit it and it scared the crap out of me. I had the Boost Control polarity set to normal and it would shoot up to about 9 psi then settle at wg pressure. I inverted it, didn't change anything else, and it holds true (which is how I hit the overboost protection).

I messed with I, it was set at 2% and I went to 10%. It seemed to help stabilize to 6psi, but would overshoot in 3rd while I kept the turbo spinning. Do I need to adjust P now? What are some settings for 10psi?

Read through https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...uestion-78923/ some good info towards the end. Should be able to set it up now.

Next question. On cold starts in the morning, I have to crank the car for a good 20 seconds, it will catch, idle for a second, then die. Then the next time I have to crank for about 10 seconds, same thing. 3rd time it will start right up and idle. Something to do with priming/cranking pulse? Do I need to increase the PW some?

Ok so I may be missing something here. Do I adjust the closed duty % to increase boost pressure?

I have it set to normal polarity, closed % is 0, open % is 100. No matter what I set P to, it's wastegate pressure.

Also when I change polarity to inverted I can hear the solenoid cycle.

Edit: attached current tune
