Default really need some help guys(can't start coils turning brown)

Ok so i got my ms2 in, but i can't get it to start. I am starting to get really frustrated and need some pointers. with this my best attempt reached 950ish and i thought it was going to start. my toyota coils are turning brown like they are getting to hot. I have my settings at 3.5 cranking and 2.1 normal. i am afraid that im going to blow one of the coils. they make a wierd buzzing sound when first turning the key on. any help would be really appreciated at this point

thank you

p.s. included said best attempt

The coils getting hot suggests something's wrong with the spark output - how is that set up? What voltage does the spark output put out with the key on on and engine off?

i think i just fried all my coils :(. idk what i am doing wrong. i have tested all my triggers and they tested fine. they stay at 5v and the drop to zero during the pulse. i have my setting dwell at 2.1 and 3.5 cranking. and have 12 volts going in and a good ground. i have spark output going low

That does NOT test fine. You should not have 5V constant on your ignition coil triggers. Most likely your spark output is inverted from where it should be.

There's one big one, and that's the spark output polarity:

For Megasquirts built to the conventional specification, this setting should be "Going High." This tells it to keep the output low (off) until it's time to dwell the coil.

The only time this should be "Going Low" is if you're using a non-standard spark output circuit which is inverting (technically double-inverting), such as the one I devised several years ago to cure the power-on-pop on the MS1.
