that doesnt make any sense; you removed the stock ecu.

that's like saying: Okay in order to run megasquirt, you need to milk a cow first, then set base timing.

probably too busy having a pint when they wrote those "instructions" for "thier" ECU.



all the matters is that when you use fixed timing at 10° in your MS, your timing light matches 10° on the crank wheel.

is that currently happening?

to confirm:

With fixed timing set to "fixed"

and the fixed advanced set to 10,

when you test with a light, the trigger angle of 6.5, sets the timing to 10°?

I shouldn`t be ley loose.

So just re did timing set up from start, ignition offset ended up back at 10 degrees.

Seems to match better, still slighty over. Wonder why it dose not need Latency?

I must have done it wrong before. Dope!

OK. Still a noob making mistakes. Just in case anyone reads this thread, with the same issues. The timing issues I had were down to the ebc settings. That sorted by switching polarity and re doing boost table, I have been able to start adding timing, with no knock. This car is getting fun !!
