Default HiRes Code

Hi folks, anybody know what benefits there are to useing the HiRes code over any other code in a MS1 V3 ?

Does the HiRes code work ok in Tunerstudio autotune?

Do you just flash the HiRes code onto the MS the same as any other code ?

Thanks.

when upgrading to the hires code, you must install a .1uF capacitor on the tach input to GND.

My car would not pass emissions without the hi-res code.

It allows you more resolution to tune fuel. So now instead of being able to control your injectors to the tenth of a millisecond (X.X) you have control to the thousandth of a millisecond (X.XXX). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't played with it in a while.

ok, thanks.
I had already fitted a 0.1uf capacitor when I built the MS1...I was just worried I needed to do something else before using TS autotune and the HiRes code.

Cheers

You also need to slaughter a lamb, spread its blood upon the ground in the shape of the Mazda logo (the toilet-seat one, used from '92 to '97), smear lard over your whole body, stand facing directly east, and sing all of "Sun King" by the Beatles, backwards.

I thought that was how you changed your trigger setup from 99 Miata to 4G63.

Now I'm all confused.

It's the general-purpose Megasquirt supplicant ritual.
