Ive already got mine too but i had a hugeeee vacuum leak for some reason so ive had trouble with this thing. My manifold is out and Jerry was suggesting it might be my injectors as they werent freely moving around. Im hoping to get it running soon especially since I already have my clutch, flywheel and the 550s in already.

The KnockSense tells the MSPNP when it detects knock. You can then set up the MSPNP to pull a bit of timing when that happens. While a well tuned engine on high octane shouldn't knock anyway, it can provide a bit of protection from a tank of bad gas.

Launch control is basically a rev limiter that engages either when the clutch is depressed or you flip an external switch, depending on how you wire it up. It lets you hold the car steady at a particular RPM so you can dump the clutch there for consistent launches.

You need to do a ton of research before you try to tune this car, or it will be a disaster. This explains knock/detonation/LPP.

Knocksense

Hook-up and tuning for knocksense is discussed ad nauseam here.

Read everything on this page, and know it by heart before you start working with MS.

settings are here:

install the software DIY gives you, and follow the directions.

You have a lot to learn, I do too. You are now taking a task into your hands where you need to know a lot about turbo charging, and exponentially more about how an engine functions. You can do it, but you need to take the time and educate yourself first. DIY autotune has gone a mile to make this an incredibly simple process. Don't get all worked up over things like launch control; you must tune the VE, spark, cold start, knock, and enrichment tables first.

-I think this was my most productive post yet on this board.

DO NOT RUN MAGNA's MSQ file. It may blow your ignitor.

You have a base map already loaded on your MSPNP. It's a fine, drivable basemap. I know this.

You need to read the MSPNP owner's manual. RTFM. I am not sharing my file--and it's not because I'm being a dick, but because the info for changing injector size in megatune is in the manual--it's not hard and it's important that you know how to do it yourself.

Ben's being serious for a reason. Dont burn MSQ maps from other people.... go offline...open the map and export whatever you need to steal from it. Otherwise you overwrite all the settings.

most homemade MSs run inverted spark, and that will blow your ignitor. they also have different REQ FUEL, mods, warmup, PWM, etc....

they only thing you'll need to do with a MSPnP is change your REQFUEL and fine tune the fuel map.

exactly. not to mention my boost solenoid duty cycle table. perfectly safe in my car. but it is VERY likely to blow others' motors.

serious? come on, I put a smilie face in there for levity.
