Default Intermittent puff sound

Every once in a while when the car is warm I get the loud puff sound when I key on. Not when cranking just when I put the key to the on position and the fuel pump primes. It seems to be coming from the drivers side. I havent stood with the hood open and let anyone key on for me yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I should see if I can get a recording of it. Any thoughts?

the ignition is triggering a spark and igniting some fuel. usually cured with better cranking values.

So its really nothing to be too concerned with? I'll post my cranking values later when I get home so you can tell me what you think?

If you want, move this to the ms section so anyone else with the same problem might see it.

it's been discussed.....it's especially fun when you disconnect your coils and try to start the car, then power cycle it.....

When it happened on mine I had assumed it was my wideband warming up & burning off some crap. It only happened a couple of times so I didn't really worry about it. Nice to know there is a fix.

Mine does it too, I would say maybe 10% of the time when I am about to start the car.
