Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering supercharger; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.

Sink all porsches and all ferraris to one common pool! and since neither can be mine, let me then knock to pieces, while still chasing thee, though committed to thee, thou damned supercharger! Thus, I give up the headgasket!

Ok, I can see why you stopped.

Is Serper doing ok? I want to know if he is done with all mods. Is that thing running yet? I am about to order the MSII to start mine using this "guide" here. I will need to double check the part list on what to order to start mine. Going in a 2000 Miata with AC/PS/Cruise control, well cruise control can go, that wont bother me a bit. Thanks again to Joe and Abe for their experience and expertise. I promised I wont bring anymore Star War crap in here.

Good News! The cruise control (which I was willing to sacrifice as well) is run by something else entirely. It works fine with the MS, until you run without a heat sheild and toast the cable then it sticks on and you find yourself acceleratin into a speed trap with your foot ridiing your big-old-race-brakes and praying.

Your mileage may vary. :-)

But yeah - I wanted to run the MS on my car before I sent it off, but since my car is down for a couple weeks I'll just have to trust my notes. Getting it hooked up running both fans, VICS, electronic boost control and MS controlled idle. PS is also self-contained.

The issues are the altenator, which I'm trying to decide if I should build in, and the AC which Joe has 90% of.

Hoping to get it done today if I can tear myself away from the forums. Pics to follow.

Ensure that no jumpers are present on the block circled in blue. This makes sure that the MS's pullup is the only pullup on these lines.

Assuming a 1.3 board, jumper the two terminals circled in yellow. For a 1.4 board, jumper positions 2-3 of that block. This connects the primary pulse generator to pin 24 of the DB37, which is TachIn.

Run a jumper wire from the terminal circled in red (the secondary pulse generator) to whichever pin on the big long header corresponds to the pin on the DB37 that you prepared for the second trigger input. If you used the "default" of IAC1A, then connect it to the pin labeled I1A.

Also, make sure your chip has at least two white dots (the one in joe's pic has only one) and set them right for a miata (3 up, the rest down, which ones I'll post in a few.

It's 2,3, and 6.

Yeah, I forgot the setup switches. http://jbperf.com/JimStim/JimStim_v1...etup.html#mode

Abe, do you have any idea why everyone (JB, the MSExtra guys, etc) refer to the NB as '99-'00 only, excluding the '01-'05? I realize the laters cars are plagued by VVT, but I thought the sensors and wheel patters were the same?

Well, the plan was to settle in and attend law school. Then I broke my foot a few days ago in such a way that they're talking surgery, so I won't be starting classes and instead I'm planning to head back down south, bum with the family, and take some time off.

Joe joe joe.... Breaking your foot to get out of class is childish. Breaking your foot to get out of work is awesome! You should have done that.

What the hell happened?!

Well...

Was moving into my new apartment on Friday. It's a nice, upscale place, not too many students, pretty quiet. Got the truck, a Penske 16', backed up to the sidewalk at an angle. I'm not using the ramp, just moving stuff right off the deck.

I come out to the truck after taking a break inside and find four Alachua Co. Sherrifs' cruisers outside my apartment. Kinda strange, given the neighborhood. I keep on moving ****.

Near the last load, I'm getting ready to hop down out of the back of the truck when I notice the officers escorting a man in handcuffs down the stairs. My attention was diverted for just a split second, and as I jump out holding a box, my left foot comes down sideways on a parking stop. You know- those cast concrete humps at the front of each parking space.

Heard a pop, felt some pain, but was able to keep working. Finished the offload and even carried a sofa (with help from a friend) before it really started to get bad. By this point it's 10pm on a Friday, only thing open is the ER at Shands. So I go there, wait about six hours, and get seen by Dr. Doogie Howser. Seriously- it's a weird feeling when all of a sudden you are older than the doc.

Anyway, what we have is a "Jones" type fracture at the fifth metatarsal, one of the long bones of the foot. It sucks very badly.

Still a bit confused how this prevents you from learning anything, but heck, I wouldn't pass up a handful of relaxing afternoons with yo' momma neither.

Oh!

Ouch!! That sounds very painful and hard to get around on! My gf goes to santa clara unniversity though, you should have gone their for law, its a great school! I know what you mean about being older than the doctor though.. I sold a phone to this guy, I seriously thought he was 18... He was a stanford graduate already practicing.. (Stanford is 10 min drive from here) good luck with school though and I hope your foot heals quickly!

It prevents me from getting around easily on a campus that's several square miles (and had inadequate parking) but more importantly if they do operate then I'm going to be out of class for a while. Missing several weeks, right at the beginning of the first semester of law school, is a deal-breaker.
