Yes, immediately. Mine used to never go above 181F , but now I've seen it go to 197F. Not sure which was the more realistic reading..

Hmm, interesting. I'd count on the higher reading being correct. You're still a good 10 lower than I am.

Mine runs 207F-211F when fully warmed up, both before and after the HR flash. Certainly don't want to track the car this way.

Jerry said they will do it for anyone that wants it. Some people don't even need it. Jerry also has said that if you do a clean install when soldering the CAP and don't damage anything it won't void your warranty.

Heres a big big question from me.

Does anyone have the temp/resistance values or at least the INC files for the 96/97. I will literally get on my knees if Jerry solved the CLT pegging at 215 issue.

Bump. Anyone got the bias resistance and resistance curve values for the 96/97 sensor?

the resistance values are all the same.

MAF & CLT (degF):
-4 16150
104 1150
176 330

GM (degF):
48 7000
87 1930
146 560

it's just the bias you need.

it wouldnt take someone with a thermometer metering the atmosphere more than 30 minutes to get it dialed in perfectly.

Are you getting those values from easy therm(i forgot them) or are these tested numbers?

As for dialing in bias with a thermometer I am guessing you mean sit in the car with the engine off, thermometer and tweak bias until both match?

exactly. start with the AIT.

flash the MS with the correct resistance values and whatever bias you choose. make certain you never alter the resistance curve.

Unscrew the AIT sensor and let it hang near your thermometer, then you can power the MS and record the temp. If it's not close, simply change the bias in easytherm. then copy the MATfactor.inc file in the correct location on your laptop car1/mtcfg/.

when you restart megatune you'll notice the temp has changed. rinse and repeat until the value matches your thermometer.

then do the same with the CLT temp, matching your new AIT value. Try to get it within 5F.

Once you find the correct values, burn the firmware, and be happy.
