Default reverent or MSLABS megasquirt alternator control

working on a miata i built that has an unknown MS3. appears to be reverent or MS Labs but no logo. the car doesnt seem to want to charge the battery. ive tried multiple outputs for the alternator control but nothing seems to make any changes. does anyone know what settings are required for this MS?
car stays at 12v and over time voltage drops to around 11 and than becomes hard to start and around 10.5v while running.

ive tried VVT, IAC1, IAC2, Nitrous 1, Niitrous 2 and , FIDLE. these were all outputs i read others of using but not with a reverent or MS labs ecu.

car is a 1999, stock harness

Probably not. There are a bunch of MS Basic people here, and Rev checks in quite often.

This may or may not be helpful:

I don't think the charging control circuit has any FW control on MS Labs. My understanding is that it is a hardware only circuit.

Is it possible that some change you made looped the clutch line to something bad. Physically it is routed to the Launch Input pin, which is routed to Launch In.

I suggest you post your tune. and I will page @Reverant

Is your MAP hose being pinched by the clutch pedal?

I haven’t checked yet but I did read something about that. I didn’t install any of the megasquirt stuff in his car so I should def take a look under the dash and see

IIRC it depends on the vintage of the ECU. Years and years ago when MS3 was fresh and lacking stable alternator control, MS Labs units were shipping with a proprietary hardware solution to get around that issue. Once the MS3's onboard alternator control matured, Rev dropped his hardware solution to save cost since it wasn't necessary anymore. He will know the S/N ranges of each version.

I set it to iac2 with inverted polarity and got it to work after wiggling the plug around and am now getting 13-14v. If I set it to normal polarity the voltage will climb up to 17v as I rev it up to about 2000rpm or so. Now that this issue is solved I have ran into another, go figure.
