Just a bit of advice, i played around with a few shaped tanks before settling on me current one.
I tried various used liquid containers in various shapes and sizes, i found that long flattish containers like a 2L drinks/water bottle when stored on its side would run dry on most corners.
The water seems to slosh around too much.
So if you go for a flatish design, like would be needed to fit in the flat tire well in the boot, you'll need some sort of foam to stop the water sloshing about.
