No worries man. I really appreciate you throwing in your input and experience. Especially since you seem to be the only one who has experience with it on a Miata. I don't have tons of experience with Water Injection yet....but I have been so blown away with my results that it just seems like a no brainer. I can't wait for feedback after these kits are all installed and working. Also as far as I know with the Devils Own controller...it acutally pulses the pump on and off. That means most standalones that have extra GPO's could take control of the pump very easily.

Wide open i dont mean to hijack i just thought they might benfit from my experiences. if i get to pushy in your thread let me know and i will leave.
the basic kit is on off and begins at a certian boost point and continues until infinity and the progresive setup regulates the pump voltage to control the output of the pump and get. the on off's are very useable but tunning must be conservative. the upgrade would be just getting the variable voltage controller. if i am not mistaken it is a good deal if i already didn't have a setup i would do this. right now i am trying to tune out my new 255 lphhp walboro ad hopefully i will be able to hit 13-14 psi no problem with no IC, or timming controller on stock ecu, and only a on off WI setup using a 176 cc/min nozzle flow rated at 70 psi. hope this helps

I figured you guys may like it. I learned from it that Philips Gto will probably drink more water than he will...and i also totally underestimated nozzle size for your car.

you should be able to max out the little tdo4 no problem and run 2-14 degrees like i said before i am running 12 psi now at 10 degrees timming with no external timming controls or IC. My 16g is on track to flow 300 chp from 12psi on judgeing from the compressor charts. My previus 8-9 psi dyno had my effeciency way up as my bsfc was .49 and my af's where 12.3-12.7 postcat on a new highflow cat. the sky is the limit so long as you get your mix right and can find a happy medium. Mosyt systems start at 70 psi this is the optimum nozzle flow pressure and there standard ratting pressure the pump itsel fused on the devils own system goes to 140 psi this makes it easier to run just one nozzle for a wide range of power. becouse when you start playing with it you might be at 25 hp and running a 176cc nozzle at 65-70 psi then as you grow you up the pump pressure by 10-15 psi and you are now running effectively a 200-215 cc injector good for 300-325 hp. you will also need to keep in mindthat the manifold pressure needs to be added to the line pressure of the water injection to get adequate spray so if you are running 15 psi then your line pressure needs to be bumped up by 15 psi to be able to flow at the same effeciency when under high boost.

You can use Devils Own slick nozzle size estimator. Sign up for there forums and you can download it. Or you can just swap them until it feels right. They seem to recommend a 3 gph for most lower boost 4cyl applications. The thing that the software doesn't take into account is if you are utilizing and intercooler or now. I think if you are not then you could benefit from additional flow.

Definately interested - i have a JRSC M45 and TDR A/A I/C , but not sure where to put injector/nozzle(pre s/c or post I/C) AND which size nozzle i need?

I heard/read reports about pre s/c injecting damaging/stripping off the protective coating on the s/c rotors- or is it just ethanol/methanol mixes that does this?

Methanol is a mild acid and it has been known to strip off protective coatings. Distilled water should be fine from what it seems but I dont know much about s/c so dont take my word for it. :gay:

I sprayed washer fluid though my charger on my truck for almost 10k miles. When I took it apart once to tap a vacuum port they looked great. I do know that in the Supercharged 5.4 crowd that having the coating stripped is a mod that alot make. I guess there are pros and cons to it. I wouldn't have really cared either way.
