Don't let these gays get to you. Putting together a turbo setup for mass production from the ground up is no easy task.

Big props for not putting out a half-designed product just to meat a deadline only to have to fix and "revise" crap many times over in the time to come. Some companies love to do that these days. I won't mention names haha.

And as always, LMK if you need a street car guinea pig

This should be my standard answer on the Enhanced MS3 thread.

The downside to that logic is getting beat to the punch by someone else.

I dont think anyone is going to beat trackspeed to the punch on this. FM has already said they are sticking with Garrett turbos only, and I don't think BEGI has the correct target audience. I dont expect anyone else to have the resources to "mass produce" one. This turbo is a bitch to package. At least TSE isnt trying to do a low mount setup, I have a manifold I can easily replicate for that, but the amount of labor makes it expensive, AND it requires super stiff engine mounts because its so close to everything, I swear its within an inch of hitting the glove box. The compressor is inconveniently large in diameter, and the waste gate actuator is also in an inconveniently place. That said, a side mount log mani for this thing would be a piece of cake you'd just have to worry about compressor to manifold clearance. Top mount wouldn't be bad either except for the tight 90 you need for the down pipe.

TLDR, the turbo looks small till its in the engine bay, the engine bay looks huge till theres an efr in it.

When I dream, it's of a tubular twinscroll manifold and 6758.

You know, you could just offer the turbo, manifold and downpipe pieces to start with.

Whats the point of a twinscroll manifold when they dont appear to sell the turbo with the twin scroll housing? And if BW comes out with the housing later on it will use a T4 flange rather than the t2 flange that comes normally.

Car never has PS to begin with. Was never even a consideration. The car will have some sort of PS next season, an a miata PS pump was never even considered.

I was operating under the assumption that at some point they were going to make a 6758 TS housing, but that the 6258 wasn't getting one. That's what I heard last time I checked up on it anyway..

The exhaust side of the turbo is exactly the same so you could easily put the TS housing on a 6258 if they made one for the 6758.

From what I've been told, the 7064/7163 will be getting twinscroll housings, but not the 6258/6758. There's also a rumor of them releasing a smaller A/R than the current IWG 0.92a/r (something in the 0.8a/r range) which would be perfect for the Miata, but we aren't planning anything around that particular turbo until it's actually available.
