When he contacted me about joining the team, we were ALL over it!

What makes Sean's story the most amazing is he had over 2,000hrs on one of the video game simulators at home. He mostly credits that for his results at the Mustang challenge.

Heck, just buy a used SM online for $8k, and run that at the big tracks, and the money you save on transmissions would pay for the car...

Either way, it would be great to see you again, and I am sure fun to work with you. That is, assuming people don't realize how annoying I am between now and next year, and that they let me come back...
I’m kind of working an angle to get in a Pro3 car for some races. But 8 races is a lot.

I was actually kind of thinking of focusing on National Level autocross next year in SSM while slowly assembling a wheel to wheel race car.

Everything I do is more money than I should be spending but hay the wife just started a new job that pays decent. She is now an engine test and calibration engineer of all things. It would probably cause a bit of a rift if I suddenly started spending money on car racing at 3 times my previous rate so I got to be careful though.

I am hoping you guys do have some in car video that you will share in the near future. Also, is the dyno plot going to become public now? All this talk of the increased torque from the VVT has me very curious.

I actually don't know exactly what happened - the damage wasn't significant and we didn't lose too much time from it.

There is in-car video, I'm sure they will select bits from it and post it up. The dyno plot is up to Emilio - it's not exactly something that someone could duplicate on a reasonable budget, though. The motor was specifically designed for the event, so its specs and the exact dyno chart will likely remain confidential.

I'm practicing my Jedi mind tricks for Mrs. Bob. Mr. Bob wouldn't be nearly as good a driver if she kills him...

Just 8 log booked races? Does it matter what club they are done with? Or do they have to be 8 NASA races?

Well I sort of planned to get a license next year but I wouldnt have a car to race WtoW for at least another year. A friend of mine that runs a Pro3 car in Conferance some SCCA, Conferance is a regonal sanctioning body here in the northwest we don't have NASA, has been pushing me to do enduros with him I just recently talked to him and it and it went well. Seems like he was excited about getting me in the car for races. We raced chump car at Laguna together.

I'll most likely be running conference next year in the Miata. Really looking forward to running at Portland/Seattle/ORP.

Real endurance racing is the shiznit. If I had to choose between going to the Runoffs next year or the 25 Hour, I choose the 25 Hour hands down.

If you get an opportunity to do any sort endurance racing, be it 2 or 4 hours, I say jump on it. It will be money well spent.

Fixed that for you... But really, endurance racing is so much more fun. I have done several kart enduros as a driver, and crewed for this and one smaller one up north, and it adds an entirely new aspect to racing. There is a lot more strategy, and just being the fastest isn't enough to win.
