Does the NB mkturbo kit fit over the factory bracing on the NB2s? Any one running this kit on the NB2 that can elaborate?

I have a nb2 with all the factory bracing. 2001 SE. I removed the short front brace years ago, when I installed frame rails. All the other bracing fits, except for the factory butterfly brace. It will need shimming to clear the downpipe.

I'll let you know shortly once I receive the rest of my parts from Lars. So far the exhaust clears the bracing in the rear with plenty of room on my 2001 NB2. Like the other guy said, may just need a few spacers up front on the butterfly brace if any at all.

Thanks guys. I have a FM butterfly brace ready to go in when the rest of the kit gets here. And there's a guy that's parting out an MSM nearby so I was thinking of buying the rear bracing. Good to know it fits.

I just purchased a NB2 to use as my JIG car. So all future NB exhausts will be built on it to verify clearance. I have to say damn the NB2 has a ton of bracing, luckily my exhausts should clear most of it with minimal issues. Possible things I see for older already made exhausts is flange placement at the end of the down pipe. Depending on where exactly that is it could hit one of the bars on the front brace.

Has anyone gotten any emails from Lars lately? I've been waiting 2 weeks for the last parts of the kit to arrive, and almost half a year since I ordered the kit. Last email I got was a week ago on the 5th with a promise to send the rest of the kit that very week.

Is he okay? Hopefully nothing bad has happened.
Trying to be understanding but still, it's been 5 months since the kit was paid for and ordered. Trying to turbo this thing before the snow makes it impossible.

That sucks...not sure what the deal is? I picked up the exhaust and majority of hardware from him on Saturday. Met him in CT. Hopefully he's shipping the remaining stuff today or tomorrow...

I heard he fled the country. Apparently he was a Russian spy that interferes with elections...

I heard he stopped by my house on his way back from CT after delivering Naval's setup and he was never heard from again.

Well hopefully he's alright. Would be nice to get an email with an update on my kit.

Got the last of my missing parts from him the other day. All I can say is the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep trying him.

Custom built and hand delivered parts purportedly made by cats in the light of the full moon.

Exclamation Frozen

I had to thaw him out of his car when he came over early Saturday to drop off some parts. He was frozen solid. I told him to stop and not continue but he said "Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, nor a frozen body stays me from the swift completion of my appointed rounds". Later, there were reports on facebook and twitter of a frozen body driving a green car spotted by some along Rt 95. People may have dismissed the reports as fake news. Maybe the car is still going on autopilot; keep a look out. While there are many frozen minds driving cars nowadays, this one could be our guy.

And if you do happen to find him, be sure to thaw him out slowly. Don't go too fast or you may crack something vital and then we may not get the rest of the parts. Someone on this board may be experienced in the heating element or gas to use and prescribe the proper method to preserve all vital functions.
