I would like your comments on my map. I am running this with 50-50 water/methanol injection.

Woah baby! Wish I could get away with a spark table like that I guess thats what WI and a built motor can do for you...

Do you find it extra aggressive ? I was wondering if I could add some timing from 210-300.

I am hitting 27.5-28 psi at the most.

28 psi ... I'd say your timing is aggressive. I mean your pulling like 24* at 15-18 psi. Most of us, myself included, are in the 17*ish range. Granted our motors arn't built, but I'm not sure I'd be advancing my timing any more than what you are running now...

Just as a note on this... I was cruising this weekend to an auto-x event and noticed my oil pressure gauge doing the dance at light load. I found the IGN map locations of the dancing and took 2 degrees out. Dancing stopped. (50-30 kPa in the 3400-4000 RPM range)

So for me there will be no more than 34 degrees of advance no matter what. Well that probably was also running 15-16.5 AFR too. I don't see any point to go further.

I was just wondering if anyone had run the Brain "FunMap" on a 1.8?

I'm still running the base DIY map and I've got till late fall before I can make it out to the Dyno.

I've been running a revision of the Brain map but modified for linear boost supplied from my supercharger. Boost is a max of ~8psi (156kpa) for me so ignore the higher load areas. I've also bumped up low rpm, low load areas (around 2krpm) to improve fuel economy as I spend alot of time in those cells crawling in rush hour traffic to and from work.

(p.s. image crop fail, can't be arsed to sort it but you can at least see the figures so not worthy of "fail factor" status )

Thanks Craigo, I might try your map later today.

Although, mind if I asked why you pulled so much timing at idle?

Ok, here's my current. This is a barely modified version of the stock DIY map. I've also rescaled my map as I'm not going anywhere near the kpa some of you guys are. I'm taking as much time as I can today at work to find where I can safely add some timing and keep everything smooth.

I'm very open to suggestions. Sorry about the quality, I actually had to photograph the screen (once again, at work).

Im pulling timing at idle like the stock ECU would i.e. 10-14deg BTDC. This gives me a rock steady 800rpm idle and AFRs happily sit ~14.7:1 even without GEGO correction on.

Too much timing at idle like some of the maps suggest on this thread push my idle up too high for my liking. If I run 20 deg BTDC my idle rises to 1000rpm.

My idle is around 18. I did so to help with stalling when the a/c is on. Plus I have some wicked idle droop, even without a/c, that I'm working on fixing.

This is after proper detcan dyno tuning.

BEGI S3, GT2560R @13psi, MSPNP9495, 3" w/CAT.

mine, still tuning it

I'm thinking of putting 14kpa instead of 19kpa on the bottom row.
