1991 with JR SC. 70,000 original miles on motor - worth it?
I found a clean 1991 miata with a Jackson Racing supercharger. Comes with the intake, Jackson Racing header, cat-back (I forget the brand), and a few other tiny goodies. He said he's running 9psi non-intercooled from the original 5psi (went with a smaller pulley). He was asking 5k but the top will need to be replaced soon, so he said 4200. The hood/trunk have walnut damage from a tree, but that's aside from the point. This has been supercharged since 94, always ran synthetic IIRC, and the motor hasn't been rebuilt. Also, it's not a SNC vin number, so that's a plus. I'm curious as to what kind of power this is putting down, and if it's reliable/worth the purchase.

Do it right, go turbo from the start. Either pick up that car (assuming it has decent suspension, wheels/tires, etc) or find another. Plus, if you are looking to make higher power...that rear end might not be up to the challenge. This is coming form a guy that has a 1.8 and a M45...making a earth shattering 150 whp. There are better deals out there.
