D2 coilovers

Spoolin ,
are your set shock body height adjustable in the rear?
or are they spring preload height adjustable?
from what i know (i have a set of ,off the shelf D2's) the rear is preload adjustable which kinda presets the height at which they work best.
top mounts didnt fit well , i had to grind corners down .
they came with a helper spring in the rear . it interfered with the nb driveshaft. so they had to come off.
more info on revalving. i think different shock cartridges are available , as well as spring rates

i wouldn't have been to able to answer as i was waiting for them to arrive when guess who showed up today?
so yes, the rear are spring height adj. only. but i intend on tracking them, so i'm not worried about going super low like cr peeps. i'll be happy at 11.75-12" ride height, which i think will leave me plenty of travel in the rear. they did tell me that i couldn't go crazy low with my choice in rates.
i went with 12k frt./8k rear. they didn't come with any helper springs.
of course it was pouring rain today and tomorrow, (which is actually today at this hour) so i probably won't put them on till this weekend. they look good, i won't know anything till i get them to the track though. if i'm lucky, i'll be able to go to a pca event in dec., if not it won't be till jan. nasa event/miata challenge. although i really wanted to get some track time before that event to test them out and figure out sway/shock/alignment settings. i will report back once i get on them on the street for some initial impressions.
btw urban, did you get a set for na miata's? i think there's a different part number for nb's. i know that na tophats don't fit on nb's so that's probably why you had to grind yours down.
so how do they ride? you have ots 8/6k springs? have tracked your car? your the first person i've heard of having these on a miata.

actually they were NA model , on an NA , with NB axles.
the top mounts you have are the same . see if they fit.
the ones you have here are different ., well , no helper spring. different coating.
as far as ride. im sort of partial to shock travel , these dont seem to absorb the bumps well . sort of bouncy. its been a long time since i took them out to the track , but i will tomorrow at ACS, ill let you know . ACS is fairly smooth though. i have a feeling your set is revised enough to be different then the old versions.

well, i just took my first drive on the d2's and so far all i can say is they feel great. they're obviously stiffer than what i had considering they're double the spring rate, but they aren't harsh at all. no strange noises, car turns flat with zero noticeable body roll. i've tried 2 settings so far and i could tell the difference. probably takes atleast 5-6 clicks to feel a difference. the real test will be the first event i can make. i could care less what it does on the street if it's **** on track. but what this street drive does tell me is that the valving seems to be a pretty good match for the spring rate. when i bought the car it had the worst mis-match of spring/shocks ever. so bad that it nearly made me sick on certain roads, and i NEVER throw-up, so i know what shitty is.
