I just installed some HD's with my FM kit I am out at the track this weekend for the first time since installing them. They have not been revalved. I will post in the thread that I started when my AGX's took a ****. I was just in the City last weekend and the roads suck. The car was a bit rough, but not over whelming. Depending on how this weekend goes and when I get my taxes I may be selling my kit. Just an FYi.
Have a great day,
Jared

Shocks installed today. More compliant with the new revalves and 500/300 springs than the R package bilsteins with 450/250. Car feels great and rides very well as I had hoped. Won't be autoxing for a few weeks so can't give any info in that area yet. So far everythig seems great.
I want to thank everyone that ordered from SD. I talked to Bernie today and he is grateful for our business.
GOOD NEWS:
The group buy price is being extended indefinitely!

djp0633- Thank you for setting this up for all of us. It is a good thing for us and him. I will be using his services in the very near future. As I will be selling my FM/Bilstein setup. Most likely for an SM setup.

Jared:
I could not respond to your PM-- something about not enough total posts to date.
I appreciate your follow up to me on the HDs-- I have an order in for a set so will see how they work for me.
(and now I'm one count closer to PM-ability!)
Thanks,
b

Got mine in last week, was going to put them on but was short on the parts I needed. I had forgotten I had modded some of the NB bushing stuff for an NA shock install.
Oh well, on they go this weekend. Then onto lots of other stuff eventually leading to being driven .... weeks+ from now
Thanks again Bernie!

spec miata. tons and tons of spec miata drivers use Stewart and he has a specific valving he gives them that is well suited for the 675/325 combo they run on bilstiens...or whatever it is.
OK guys, I've had the SD Bilsteins on for about three weeks and 300 miles of mostly in-town driving. I'm extremely happy with the ride I am getting with 500/300 spring combination. I'm also running 36/46 bumpstops, RB tubular front bar, no rear bar, and hub to fender heights 13" front 13.5" rear. The ride is very controlled and firm but not harsh. I am finding myself not having to avoid bumps and railroad tracks I had previously. With the r-package bilsteins at 450f/250r same setup, the ride was definitely rougher compared to the SD revalves at 500/300. I also ran a set of NB 10AE bilstein/springs for a year which were better than the clapped out OEM stuff bit not as nice as my current setup.
Stock OEM clapped out..........bad on every thing except perfectly smooth surface.
NB 10AE bilstein/springs......... more controlled and a better package but harsh on smaller bumps and broken pavement.
R-bilsteins 450/250 36/46 bumps.......overall good package but harsh over small bumps.......pretty liveable but hell on rough pavement.
SD bilstein 500/300 36/46 bumps.......best package yet for control/compliance, stock like on smooth pavement, firm on bigger bumps but not harsh, great compromise for heavier springs on a street car
I firmly believe the SD revalve is a great alternative to the more expensive solutions.

William that revalve is to make sure all four shocks are in spec, best range of spec, and same right to left. Perfectly legal, maybe doesn't follow spirit though. Now I'm sure there are a ton of non SPEC shocks running around on top 10 cars. Ever see a shock dyno at tech?

Just wanted to say thanks to DJP for setting this up (could not have come at a better time since I had just contacted SD for a revalve). I'd also like to thank Bernie for participating.
First autox on the new setup this weekend. I hope it's more
