A tranny option
I highly doubt they would hold a real 500whp for any decent amount of time even more so if it hooked up at all. The only dude that has had any luck publically that I have seen has been that dude that has a compound turbo and we have only seen like one video of a pass on low boost. Your still dealing with a 7 inch gear.
more so if it is worth a decent amount of money why not sell it and get something that will hold or at least has a better chance of it is a minimum investment.
That and a rear end locking up after a good wheel hop/explosion doesn't sound fun. I saw a car do that once somehow but it was only a few feet out from the launch.

That being said, I don't want to find out the hard way. I'd rather be ahead of the problem and have a sellable transmission and rear end and own an overbuilt car. There are literally no cons to that.
Anecdotally, my Torsen didn't survive more than four runs at the drag strip. Knock on wood, my Guru torque-sensing diff appears to be bullet-proof, but they haven't made them in years.
So let me get this straight.
1. The 5 speed stock trans sucks for high power bros and breaks easy
2. The 6 speed is much stronger but still breaks at high turbo bro levels but is really cheap and plentiful to find
3. There isnt really many other options without lots of napkin drawings and trial and error
Where does the TII transmission fit in this? When does it break and why dont more people use this one?
Is there a 6 speed that actually gives a overdrive for low rpm highway speeds?

TII has rx7 gear ratios that aren't great for a miata. Also it doesn't hook up with the PPF so that's another headache. Someone was working on a custom bellhousing once but that was years ago.
Makes sense since the rotary revs to the moon. I did see a adapter plate on here for the TII.

theshadowconspiracy (pat) had the bell housing adapters made for the TII and are still for sale in the classifieds. It never caught on and I think he sat on some for a while. If I recall he only recently sold the last one from the first batch and was debating having a second batch made.
What pisses me off the most is that this exact thing is what all the lazy spoonfed kids these days think right before they post a question asked five hundred billion times
"YOU MEAN I GOTTA PUT FORTH EFFORT??""
Maybe you cranky bastards who don't like "noobs" should just turn miata turbo into some kind of hand drawn punk zine only the cool non noobs can subscribe to by mail.
You don't know me! How old I am what I have built or designed or repaired or anything about my racing driving or automotive skills or experience relating to anything! You don't know the effort or experience or study I have put into learning the skills and study needed to bring me where I am.
This is the internet this is a forum for discussion which is live and continuously updated how is it bad that simple questions are repeatedly being asked? You discourage people from asking questions in new threads which will inevitably fall to the unseen old parts of the site and then when people ask questions in a relative thread already started get on them for it. I don't understand the logic of not wanting to answer a simple question and be done with it and choosing instead to spend much more time spent arguing insulting and calling names or people asking questions and clogging up threads with these responses rather than just either ignoring it and letting someone else answer it or taking the time to answer it briefly or if you know the answer off hand linking to it. How exactly does asking questions cause you any inconvenience? If you already know the answer why are you reading a thread about answers you already know?
Would you want to be treated under the assumption you are some lazy idiotic noob who isn't willing to research when asking some simple question in a subject you didn't know much about?
I am willing and wanting to learn that's why I am here asking questions.
