I was just working with the data I had

I've done 140+ in my Miata as well as on a bike, but never had to slam on the brakes from those speeds, nor would I want to test theories on the tires' coefficient of friction or moments about the center of gravity,

Let's do a test. You run over a 4" tall log with your bike doing 95mph at night, and I'll do the same thing in my Miata. See who comes out on top.

lol i've done worse, i ran over a dead deer at about 75, bike handled it ok, it was sore the next day. bikes are funny like that the faster you're going the bumps are easier, i can go over speed bumps 3x faster than i'd dream of in a miata.

The bike vs Miata debate is pointless....

150mph in ANYTHING and you are 99% likely to DIE in a wreck. Dead is dead, so either one is just as bad.

135 was NA haven't topped it out in turbo. done about the same. i really don't want to kill myself so top speed isn't that important to me.

i just topped my miata out yesterday, car would not go faster then about 135ish,
this was done on an empty stetch of highway near my house,
in between exits, theres about a 7 mile gap. i just pegged it.

car got there pretty quick, much faster than any of the previous cars I've owned

You've obviously never ridden a Hayabusa or a heavy top speed bike for that matter. Now everyone please do not berate me after I say this but at 90 on my bike feels fantastic, so much so that I can almost sit staright up and definetly ride with one hand. Any faster than that is just as fun, yes I do know it is stupid but I have seen over 200 on my bike at 5am on a Sunday morning. I had broke up with my girlfriend, no I didn't have a fucking deathwish but I was pissed and it felt good to release. The speed comes up on those things so fast (espicialy the big bikes) by the time you have the throttle pinned shifting out of 3rd you're already pushing 150.
I would just like to say that I am not condoning this behavior or speed at all in any way. I know it was stupid and I have been lectured about it 1 million times.

The speedo didn't go that far, but judging from the needle sweep (waaaay past the end of the scale) I've hit 245kph (152mph) with a FM2 with 4.1 and rev limiter set to 7800.
Did that once and never again ...

I hit 122 in my miata N/A Top up and barn doors open. Raced a CRX doing it, too. Fucker pulled me hard core from 100 on up. Stupid hondas.

Tried to bury the needle on my MS6 lastnight on way down to a job site. GPS indicated 148 and pulling hard when I let out, started to come up on a few cars and I'm not gonna blow by anyone on a highway at that speed.

In the MSM I think indicated 138 was the highest I ever took it.

Bike vs Car, even with my crazy ass riding my balls are MUCH larger in the car than my crotch rocket. Spin out into a ditch in your miata, then run off into a ditch on a bike... See which fucks you up worse -- I've done the latter and still have an injury to prove it.
