Timing jumps
I have a 96 na miata. I just turboed it and have a mspnp2. I first tried to start car and timing was off. I adjusted time and idle and it wouldn't start. I checked the timing and it was off again. Did this multiple times. Belt has all teeth in good condition. Crank timing pulley is good and key is good. Cant find out the problem.
only have downpipe on turbo,
intercooler,
GM iat.
thanks in advance

Is the adjustable timing belt idler (tensioner) adjusted properly? It is possible to be torqued down too loose if all of the slack wasn't taken up between the other gears before tightening. The little spring doesn't work as well after 20 years of tension.
