So, as always, I haven't touched the miata since I last posted.

My father ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery and the past 6 weeks have been ultra crazy. Between driving 16 hours out to PA and back to get him, doctors appointments, hospital visits, and now taking him to PT, I've had little time to actually put toward the miata.

I look at it daily and debate trying to sell it, part it out, etc, but that day hasn't come yet. I'd really like to find some motivation to walk outside and just get it done, but when I do have free time the last thing I feel like doing is ******* around with this broken down car of mine. I swear that this thing sits more than I drive it, and when I do drive it there's snow on the ground, and it always sits when its top down weather.

I do believe I have all the parts needed to get it up and running again, but then again I have yet to test fit anything I bought for the new ebay turbo install.

I have a question though about the new turbo before I proceed. The last two turbos I put on this car have been used from other members of this forum, so this is my first actual NEW to me turbo I'm ******* with. My question is do I have to do anything special for the new turbo on startup? Like should I unplug the coilpack and bump the starter a couple times before actually starting it up and idling? Thats the only thing I could think of that might be wise to do, but I didnt know if there's anything else I should think about.

No. Just put it on and use it.
By the time you generate enough exhaust gas to actually spin it the engine will have already built oil pressure.
