We drive Miatas so......

I bought a stick of brake line to practice making bends and flares. We will see how that goes. I would really like to have stainless in the engine bay. I hear making flares on stainless is a real bitch. Anyone with experience to give me a pointer?

I can't imagine flaring stainless w/o a high end tool. What are you using? I used this ATD tool that was huge improvement over typical flare tools- but it wasn't easy, and on mild steel.

My buddy has one like this (pretty sure its not this exact same one, but it looked very similar):

Ive use a few times on stainless and it works well. Although its a little bulky to get into tight places.

I have one of these

Totally amazing on SST tubing.

Tricky to get bends close, though

I got the inspiration from reading Savington’s build thread. The EFI parts made the most sense considering the lack of real estate caused by the larger lines. Shipping was a bit steep.

Holy **** *****. So I haven't read 50 pages of your build, but in 2010 you stated you'd do nitrous. Is this 8 years later and finally nitrous? Or is this 2nd or 3rd gen?

Hahaha! Hahahha! Haha! Hahaha!

Sorry to interrupt. Please continue with your thread.

Troy's been quite busy as a struggling small business owner, a new husband, then a new father, and someone afflicted with "while I'm in there I'll go ahead and do this too" disease. I'm not sure which will arrive first, his first quarter mile time slip or his first social security check. We joke with him a lot because we really want him to get finished.

But seriously, it looks good, Troy.

Right now there is only a single strap going from fuel solenoid to one carburetor mount stud. I will need to weld up the bracket to support it all properly on the nitrous solenoid side.

First time around I had "I'll do it later". This time around I had the "go ahead and do this too". Took me five years to get the car on the ground the second time. So yeah, I get it. And the kids thing.
