I run 22x8x15 Mickey Thompson ET Drag slicks on 15x7 Bogart Racing Wheels.
I did a quick calculation using your final drive, at 8000 rpm, and with your transmission @ 1:1. You can go about 133 mph before running out of gear with that tire. I think that is plenty of tire for you.
Ideally a much lower gear ratio and a taller tire is best, but you will be amazed at how fast your 60' can be with that little tire.

For some reason when I bought the wheels, I did not go the 13" route. There is a pretty good selection of drag race tires in that size, that is in the drive wheels. The only good front skinny version is in 15"
I think it boiled down to the actual tire I had my eyes on, and the look I was going for.

I have been working like a mad man the last few months, and have not worked on the car much. I did however have several conversations with the folks at Summit Racing on Dzus fasteners tonight. I think I have it all figured out. Hopefully I ordered the right parts.
My next project is to attach both the hood and the Autokonexion trunk lid that is sitting on the car. At first I was thinking of attaching the hood without hinges. After colliding with the fenders a few times while I was moving the hood on and off by myself, I have ditched that idea. I spend too many nights alone at the track, and I do not want to scuff the soon to be new paint.
I also have been hot on ordering the parts to assemble the entire motor. There are a few things I need yet. The big ticket items I need are balancer, oil pump, and clutch. Hoping to order the balancer this week.
I have an Electromotive ignition with a 60-2 tooth, and am not sure how I am going to attach the wheel to the balancer. I am hoping that Emilio can get me a balancer with an integrated 60-2 tooth wheel already attached.
It is all going a little slower than I was hoping.

I can see how pulling the hood off the hinges yourself would be hard. But if you set it up right hingeless you should just need to pop the fasteners, stand next to a front tire, and grab the front and back in the middle. Then just lift it up over your head (assuming ceiling clearance) and walk away.

I went to the shop last evening to make sure everything was ok. It was raining like hell. I went into my office to wait for the rain to subside, and to enjoy some miataturbo.
I had my feet propped up on the chair legs, and when I put a foot down I heard a splash. I looked down on the floor, and the pandemonium began. When I went to the back door, water was rushing under the door like a river.
And the day started out so good.

No flood insurance.
The building has been a piece of crap for years. Very soon I am going to have to tear it down and build a new one. This has caused me to take action sooner than I hoped.

I got some work on the car done today. I am trying to get this damn thing out of my shop and into the chassis shop as soon as possible.
I took my new trunk lid and made some serious modifications to it. I drilled holes for the Dzus fasteners, and had to clearance them for the tabs. I also cut the reinforcement out to make it lighter.
I welded the tabs to the chassis.
This is what it looks like with the fasteners on the trunk lid. I will permanently attach them after the lid has been painted.

Since you don't have a trunk latch anymore you can take some weight out of the panel between the taillights behind the finish panel. Round lightening holes as aircraft use comes to mind, haha!

Bummer about the flooding. I hope it cleans up alright.
As for the Dzus fasteners... Have you used them before? I spent a summer as an assistant crew member for a formula car spec series and we were constantly having issues with them. Having to muck with seven attachment points everytime you need to access the trunk (e.g. to tender the battery or get teched) seems like a bit of a nuisance.
