Around here 3k is a 100k mile NA8 without rust, 10 foot paint, and typical owner hasn't done anything other than oil changes so it needs a radiator, timing belt, water pump, new hoses, bushings, fluids.

Sounds about right. Which still puts my baseline (200k Red NA6) at $2k.

What size ring does the girl need? I got some spare clutch curly-q's in my garage. I could make a ring out of the most hated stock miata part ever. I can even ship it out to you in a Tiffanies box, so she thinks it is expensive.

Nope shes way better than tiffanys. Tiffanys is overpriced. All they sell is the box. Low quality stones and **** metal.

No big box stuff.

We think alike

So I will grab a box from walmart and throw the ring in there. I still need to know her finger size, and your ***** size. I will make you a curly-q **** ring to go along with it all. Call it a 2 for 1 special.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just, um, give her the Miata?

My wife insisted that we use a ring that had been in the family for eons. Its very small and classy but she absolutely loves it and there is no amount of money I could have possibly spent that would have given her the same amount of happiness.

Oh, I also found the perfect Miata part wedding band for Aidan:

1.8 oil cooler/warmer nut.

I had a friend go to a fossil show and buy the diamond from there, then had a guy custom make the setting/rest of the ring. my brother did the same. I never had the ring I purchased appraised, but my brother paid something like $1800 for his setup, which appraised at something like $4000.

good stuff, fossil shows.

She already has about 15+ rings from her grandma. There is a small chance my grandmas ring would work. But i've never talked to her about it. **** need to talk to my family bout it too lol.

I've thought about that. I have a high school friend whose family works in the jewelry business. I got options.

Turns out I had an LC-2 the whole time. Who knew. Need to get a 4.9 sensor for it.
