It was snowing in Tacoma when we were at the pick n pull.

 

Yeah, it's starting to pile up here too. Supposed to get down to 9* in the next couple days. Glad you got it patched up.

 

So you didn't really break a 9", you broke an axle.

Just did axles and wheel bearings on a 90's Firebird at work. On that setup the axle is the inner race, so if you let the rear wheel bearings go bad, axles need to be replaced with the bearings. Good times.

 

Bearings were replaced last fall when I actually did break a 9" carrier. Big tires do not make a happy axle.

Lol at title change. This happened on what is left of a concrete driveway haha. Pretty sure it just hopped in a hope and popped. About to drive it 180 miles home.

I have 2 extra quarts in case the seal went bad then the axle broke.
