Aidan's loose oily bunghole actually runs a track lap
Will do, I need to start looking at it soon since it sounds like the engine builder may be starting my engine in the next few weeks and once he starts it shouldn't be long till it's done.

Also started working on my manifold. And a bit of Lars'.
Hope my block gets back from machine shop soon.

Maybe. Depends on boost pressure.
Figure out your volume flow peak and keep your pressure drop reasonable. You figure your volume flow by estimating the mass flow from the hp goal and taking the estimated boost for the power and compressor outlet temp to convert that mass flow to volume flow.

ages ago we had this discussion. sorta concluded that 2" is about tapped out at 400
the bigger restriction would be the bends and fmic core, but still, I'd probably go 2.5 and be safe
I've made 450-500 on subaru's with good tmics, and the little y-pipe is 2" at the neck before the turbo

Bleh. Anyone know if there will be an actual difference between 2" and 2.25"? If i can do a 2" hotside i have exactly what I need in the garage. Maybe i'll do a 2" hotside, and if i ever decide to go for glory i'll toss in a 2.5" Its only 2 pieces of pipe.

I'm sure the car will be. Who knows if I will though.
Optimistic first track day is end of march. But I really don't see that happening unless all the stars align.
I'm slowly checking things off the list though. And as soon as the racepak gets here I will start putting the interior back together again.

Here is nifty little table that shows you how much airlfow you gain with an increase in diameter. It starts to be really significant at 2".
Numbers are SCFM.
cool. here's my thread about it too from years ago
