I pulled all the layers off that don't get used and thought i would lay the new hood and fenders on the car to see how it looks. What do you think??

It's not for sale. I am just making a lightweight body for my car. But if i was to sell it in c.f it would cost about $5,000, at a guess.

There is a layer of c.f, then c.f tissue layer, then soric layer and another layer of c.f.

Weave is 3k 2x2 twill on the outside and plain weave on the inside. Weight is 200gsm. But depends what is in stock at the time, so it can vary a bit.

I wish somehow this would turn into a manufactured body kit! Provided the aero works decently

Awesome job, can't wait to see the complete setup.

Maybe 1 day. I will probably cut these moulds up once i finish, to make them easier to store.
I finally got the front bumper infused. I had a hole in the bag and it took forever to find it. Other pic shows the outline of the new back 1/4er panel.

I knew what shape i wanted and after i did it (with the help of a few guys here) i decided it looked like it had big lips. I delelted the lips with some mdf and modelling clay, but the modelling clay melted due to the high heat of the epoxy. I will clean it up tmrow and see how it came out. If anyone is doing it don't use clay, use plaster or bondo.

Took a before and after pic. Still needs trimming to sit right. And the brick is a little high.

I cannot wait to see this thing all together. What are you planning on doing for wheels to fill those flares out?

I trimmed it up and gave it a wash.
