I made a similar one when I disconnected my turbo the other day. Then it drained the oil out all over my workbench, good thing it is super absorbant wood

BTW those shots look good, especially like this one:

Why not just wire the waste gate arm/flapper shut and keep the diaphragm on your bookshelf?
