Anyways, did some easy work yesterday. Started gutting interior, it's all out except for dash and main carpet right now. Totally ******* gross. There is no reason for a car with under 100k miles to be this disgusting.

Soft top looks fine.

Didn't car, just pulled it as hard as i could. Ripped the top damn near in half.

YUMMY. Ash tray was overflowing, had to dig around to find the screw under it to remove the console because that compartment was filled with ash as well. Shift boots torn, i expect my transmission has ash in it.

Yep, brakes in general need some tweaking. That entire handle assembly is going away, though. I'll adjust when i install the other one coming.

Ebrake doesn't really work worth a damn at the moment, probably because it's not adjusted well.

First autox with this car is April 19th up at Grissom AFB. I got this.

I forgot about that. I have to wait until the end of May for autox. :( I'm missing our first local because of travel, and my first outing of the season will be the wilmington prosolo. I'm going to be last, again.

Do you happen to run a nail salon/auto repair shop there, or what?

We just determined that the Centric part number is not right.

I need someone to identify if the hardware i posted this morning is correct or not for the front. I've never seen sport brake hardware, so i have no idea if what i'm looking at is good or not.

Darn...

I'd email partsgroup or maybe some of the people who salvage miatas to see if they have any in stock to compare. Also, maybe Vlad's brother might have some to check out/compare? I always see stuff posted about him having multiple cars to pick from.

Also - allegedly they come with the factory rear brake kit...

Seats are here. Also received new front upper control arm, so that's cool. I think the plan is going to be to just throw that on and my coilover setup, get an alignment, and deal with the poly bushings in a spare set of arms at my leisure. Bushings on the car look to be in good shape, i can pay for another alignment later.

Good choice man! That's going to make for an awesome powerplant on the track. I can't believe more people aren't doing this.

Right?

I'm going to stay n/a though. Might do a NeoVVL head for that pop up top. Just like a K20.

Sounds like an awesome plan Ben but be aware that the rwd VE head conversion isn't cheap. If you use the off the shelf SR Miata swap stuff you are going to end up spending more than you would a K swap. To get K power numbers from a VE it's also $$$.
