That 325d is so nice. Oh and so is your miata

HF, would you mind posting your timing map? I am curious how much timing you are running.

this thread makes me double sad.

A, that I'll never see this miata in the raw

B, the reminder that us Americans never get any fun diesels

I don't know how I missed this amazing build. I especially love the IM, great work. Do you have any more details on how you setup the hall effect speed sensor? I'd love to do that so I can swap to a digital speedo.

small update . went to a sportscar club trackday this weekend.
Had some fun, the driver was a bit rusty on this track but laptimes dropped fast. after a while i was passing the instructors 996 gt3, passing a orange gt3rs, rx7, ++ 400whp miata with a big rear wing = fun

also, i will raise the camera mount before the next trackday

Didn't you buy that car with the swap done, fix a couple things, then get rid of it because it kept breaking?

i will be posting here again with updates soon.. as per now it sits with a cracked engine block, and is generally in need of some attention.

meanwhile.. some photos of the 325d after it has been pimped up a bit. It has already been on several trackdays, including the famous nordschliefe
Absolutly amazing car.. does 250+kph on the autobahn easy, and laps the ring in 8.47

will update with more mazda stuff soon

Love how your showing rearlamps to all at track.

Sorry a bit OT
Have you guys heard super turbo's? Mercedes Benz stock 300tdt (om606) with mynädiesel pump, hx50 etc and your pushing north of 450hp and closer to 1000nm.. Even more if you use trans that can handle it. Search superturbo mersu form youtube

more mods.. proper ducting of coolers ..

Brake cooling ducts will be installed.
ducting will be made for both oil coolers aswell.. I also need to make a cooling system for the gearbox.

mhmm, but i bet it would be half a minute faster easily if it had som decent tires. 280tw kumho ku31 er not fast on a track, sliding all over the place.. more impressive is arild's 100whp miata that did the same laptimes as my bmw. but that had better tires, and a lot less weight trying to pull it into the woods in the corners.
No idea what the 400whp miata would be capable of.. easy sub 8 min laps in the hands of a capable driver..

Have you figured out how/why the blocked cracked? Did you know as soon as it happened or drive some with it cracked?

havent figured out why it cracked.. and im fine with it as long as the new one also lasts 5 years

Brake cooling ducts done, and ducting for coolers finished and welded up. everything will get a coat of black paint to make it a bit more "stealth".

should help a lot with cooling for both brakes and intercooler/radiator. also looks kinda cool
