Correct, removing the AFM* will require a $15 IAT sensor.

*You have a '92, so you have a Air Flow Meters. MAFs came in '94 and later.

I purchased one awhile back. . Just need to install it. I will do that as well after class.

I apologize for the delay on the project. I am a total noob (Pretty sure ya'll know that due to flaming) and I've been caught up with my family and school.

Disconnect the wastegate? Never done that before. I'll be sure to do that once I get home from class

Just remember he meant disconnect the arm, not the vacuum signal.

One prevents you from building anything but about 2-3psi above 6,000rpm, the other creates infinite boost and destroys the engine.

I removed the wastegate arm, St fuse, O2 sensor, and Throttle position sensor.

I did another datalog, had to add ALOT of fuel on the VE. It does not look right. But it raised my rpm to 1.5k when I played with it. I also played with the Coolant-Related Air Density settings. I left it at normal correction. It went 215F. I tried IAT correction and tried coolant correction. Still stayed at 215. And Again, Fan turned on, there is pressure in the upper & lower hoses, rad was replaced, and thermostat was replaced.

For the settings I used:

10 - 96
20 - 100
30 - 105
40 - 109
50 - 114
60 - 118
80 - 128

These settings are for tuning with AFM. Please help my mistakes, still a noob. Like what I said earlier, I apologize for the delay on this project. I am busy with my family and school.

edit* I'll post the msq in a bit, I need to switch computers.

Pull the clip, disconnect the arm from the flapper, you should be able to move the flapper by hand. See how it's disconnected in the pic? Leave it disconnected until your car is tuned good enough to be running.

I'd figured it would be that since Curly mentioned arm. Although thanks for the heads up,

We don't care about your idle, what is your wideband reading when you dump "a lot" of fuel?

14 - 14.7. I'm going to wait for the rx7 injectors to come in and do this all over again.

Just curious why it had to dump so much fuel.

Anyways, I put everything back on. FPR, Stock ecu, etc etc.. I'm going to wait until my Rx7 injectors come in, then I'll replace O-rings etc.

Bigger injectors wont make tunning easier. Matter of fact just the opposite.

You gotta stop looking for excuses and just do it.

I finally had one whole day to myself. I got to tweak a bit longer on the mspnp. I got the IAT sensor installed (before the radiator, throttle body side, next to the intercooler), 460cc Rx7 red top injectors, and got to do some datalogs. I believe I need to play with the VeTable again cause when I rev it to about 2.5k - 3k rom, the car starts lean out really bad.. (17 - 22).

It is still "heatsoaking" - 215F.. need help with that too..

Please make any corrections if needed.

Car was running lean after a hot start... this isn't normal.. Any Ideas what the problem may be?

Only settings I touched were:

Ve table
Exhaust Gas Settings
AFR tables
Engine Constants
Lambda sensor targets
Coolant-Related Air Density

Finally got the car to run better than before. I'm running a few problems..

1.)Whenever I let Ve analyzer correct my ve table, it would either be too lean or too rich.

2.)I don't think my req_fuel is correct. (1597, 4 cyl, 460, 14.0).

My VE numbers are very high..

So correct your values by hand, its like 4 cells at the idle range.
