The fuel lines in the trunk are a common source of gasoline smells.

Seems like a lot happened between when it left my hands and got to you... I didn't have any fuel smell and I was definitely getting better spool than that.

The WGA should be adjusted correctly, but it's worth double-checking.

Too bad there is no way to have MS log automatically to an SD card, and then dump the files to the computer. They did have the car long enough to **** **** up. I'll never know.

Reverant's MS3 does this.

Hell, they had the car long enough I could have driven it to Arizona and back several times before they put it on its first truck.

I've been using Hobbs switches for WI pressure. Snow swears they are appropriate for water/alcohol, but my experience with them hasn't been very good. Now that I've switched to Inconel fasteners, the Hobbs switches are the only things that give me trouble on my build. I'm on my third one, so getting about 10,000 miles per switch.

Koto, how has this one held up? Maybe I'll swap to this type next time.

Well I'll be investigating a bit more today. The fuel smell is definitely from under the hood. No smell in the rear (lul). There has to be something I'm missing.

All of the fuel connections look tight. Doesn't the duty cycle for the injectors seem really high? Or am I reading that wrong...

Is there any issue with the injectors being easily rotatable under fuel rail? I think I remember this being normal. I'll take a closer look to see if there is anything odd.

Hmm. I'll get a video as soon as my battery charges a bit.

Thinking about possibly pulling the spark plugs to see what they look like. Couldn't hurt I guess.

So far all I have done was cap that open port on the intake manifold and readjust the throttle cable so that it idles okay.

With the 460cc injectors at >90% duty cycle at less than 10psi there has to be some issue there. Especially if they held up under 14psi.

New update. I don't know if the o-rings are bad, but the rubber seals are very bad. 3rd cylinder almost doesn't even have one anymore. This is why they move so easily, that rubber holding them down hard is ****. So could this mean that under boost they are actually pushing out of the head? That would explain the smell of fuel, the high duty cycle, and the slow boost. If this is any indication of the o-ring that will also be bad. Pictures incoming (once my camera charges)

Couldn't get a good angle on the other injectors. This is one of the better ones. Although the picture doesn't do it justice how bad it really is. But you can see a break in the seal.

I'd just replace em to see. I know the ones on my old 1.6 got to that point and I had to replace them. Mine were really obvious though and wet with fuel.

The engine bay is shockingly clean for the most part. So not a lot of oil and debris, which makes me think that the fuel is just evaporating.

I have some good o-rings and seals from another set of 460s I have so I will swap those over. That'll have to do until I can get new ones.

I see the o-rings on advanced autos website, but don't see the thicker black seals between the fuel rail and injector. What is the official name for those?
