Rebuild all the salvage Miatas! ASS!
Not unless I spend the next 10 minutes watching Emilio assemble Xidas on youtube.
Did you forget to install a helper spring or something? I'm not good at these games.
Edit: You added an image, I see what you did there.

We didn't ghetto rig anything. The washer on the top side has a hole a little larger than it should be but won't be a problem. I have the correct washer at home, no problem.
Yep Martin forgot something when he put that shock back together. Stuff happens. Back on the road.

Woops, sorry about that, could have sworn I put them back together exactly like the ones that were on the car. My apologies hope it all got figured out.
How's the car otherwise?

Yeah we got it sorted. Only other problem we've had is that twice I've had asphalt pebbles get stuck between the brake duct and the rotor. Little ones, but since they have tar on them they stick there and require wheel removal to get them out. We have that down to a science for sure now.
Also, our repair on the wastegate bellows has failed.

Thus concerns me. How much should I worry about this for the purposes of this track day? I thought about buying some heat wrap or muffler repair stuff and wrapping it just to try to do a bandaid fix to get me through the weekend. Opinions?
Have quite a few great photos so far, but here are two of my favorites:

I remember thinking to myself that the bellows was gonna break again(metal tends to be slightly brittle right in the HAZ of a weld). Was thinking that it would be a temporary fix for some reason.
It just dumps back in to the exhaust right(too lazy to look)? If so it's basically just an exhaust leak, a very hot exhaust leak.
But then again, I'm the guy running a car held together with zip ties and gaff tape, so take my ramblings with a grain of salt

Stole the words out of my mouth. I told him to stop worrying about it.
Pebbles in brake ducts suck. I hate them already and I don't have any.
Highway 20 is goddamn amazing. Pics incoming.

Only concern is where the hot air is coming out. If it's pointin at any hoses or lines it could be detrimental that component not to mention that will likely deteriorate as you track on it. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doest melt anything
Get a piece of thin sheet metal and hose clamp that bitch around it. That'll act as a heat shield. Maybe another piece zip tied on the firewall, cause I think brake lines are around there.

Thanks gentlemen.
I don't think it's really a big issue in terms of affecting the tune, simply because of the placement. It's on the top side of the bellow, and as Aidan pointed out to me when we were talking about it, air has to do some serious acrobatics and hit reverse just to get out of there.
The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking to just monitor it, but I'll stop at a FLAPS to grab something to wrap it if it keeps getting worse.
Gesso, yes it was intended as a temporary fix. I didn't think it would be quite this temporary though. Also: I'm gonna need that NB rear view mirror after all. Can you pretty please bring it? Are you coming to mo Terry today?
