LOL Josh, I was planning to drop the diff when I get there Thursday night. I don't want to have you work on it any more because we haven't talked about paying you and I don't feel like I've earned your time for free in any way because I've mostly been a mooch.
Oi.
Oi.
A lot of negatives nancies around here ... Well even if he gets only a small profit ... Profit is profit ... And he gets to enjoy a nice NB 10ae for the summer and no car payments "burn" Idk about you guys but I enjoy working in cars as a hobby .... And is not like he is losing money..
Well we will just have to see won't we?
You ever heard the expression " time is money " ?
BTW between myself and my brother the car turnaround on a monthly basis is about 5-10. Every month. I'm just sayin, we just might know a thing or two about fixing/selling cars.
PS: its all honest opinions trying to help Ed out, rather than spurring him on to start a ton of projects and never really accomplish anything and waste a ton of money.
I just want to see him driving a high powered miata. ASAP

I'm not questioning what you know. I know that this isn't a high-profit opportunity. I wanted to own the car. I bought it. I wanted to learn about this auction process, so I bought it! Let's see how it goes.
In the end, JC might end up keeping the car. Options are open.

They are.
I swear to Christ if the diff arm wasn't broken and this thing drove around after a jump after $2700, you'd all be saying it's not horrible.
We're only a few hundred from that! Have faith! Then again I'm used to my shitty NA.

I just don't want to lose money. The bar is set low.
For the record, I sure don't think it was a bad deal. I just don't think it's worth flipping due to the salvage title.
However, building it to keep.. yes. who cares about a salvage title in that case?
Either way, in for updates! Glad to see CSTG back at it again.

Jeff! You didn't have a choice about buying your second one. You have not wasted any time.
I was only joking of course. Although 6 months of frenetic work on my car is starting to sink in and I feel a little ridiculous turning off my social life, riding my bike, and other things.
If you need a couple of my side markers, just cover the shipping and I'll toss ehm your way if you'd like.

Kaizersoze has graciously offered up a spare diff carrier he has, so I'm picking it up tomorrow. Might even have this blue devil up and running for the weekend! Wahoo!
(that's awfully optimistic...)

Sounds awesome ed. Don't forget you need an axle. The passenger side is spinning without spinning the wheel. Not sure if one of them has popped out, or more likely the axle broke inside the outside boot.
Oh, and I can rebuild a diff, except for pulling and reinstalling the pinion. Don't have the tools for that, but there is a transmission shop ~10 minutes from my place. Never been there, but if you bring me the housing, I could drop it off there Friday and ask for a swap. Or at least a quote

It had to come. lolSo, I don't think I quite understand what's happening, I just need a whole axle with inner and outer CV's right? No stub axles on this puppy right?
Hopefully the diff isn't broken. If it is, hopefully your buddy still has that torsen available.
