last fail for the night
With the T25-to-VBand adapter, the downpipe doesn't fit. Yay. I think I'll be running N/A.
Does anyone have stock 1.8 parts? Exhaust manifold, midpipe, cat, exhaust.

no, it was built by wittyworks
https://www.miataturbo.net/build-thr...-thread-59615/
he offered to fix it for free. originally i was just going to get it welded up locally + get a turbo crane, but now that i'm parking the car, might as well just mail it to California.

Yep it was me who built the mani! Of course I offered to repair it for free, I feel pretty bad that this happened.
From looking at the pictures more, for it to crack in those two places, I think the two outside runners were being pushed out towards the turbo due to whatever heating/cooling movement the stainless was experiencing. Those two welds are right at the longest leverage point, and it pulled apart at the weld. Bad news bears.
If/when I fix it, I'm also going to put some gusset tabs a la turbo Tim over those two welds, and I will re flatten the flanges because I'm sure they will warp a tad. Bigass belt sander to the rescue.

I've been meaning to ask you this many times:
what happened between when you bought the car and now?
Did your ***** finally drop and you became a bauce?
I even made a comment WAY back in this thread about how it went from poverty build to BALLER build in a matter of months......Just curious what led to this point. You're pretty much balling out of control these days and buying top of the line parts. Which is awesome btw

Which quickly moved on to "Must beat the turbo slutcar"
This quickly turned into a Russian raging manic overkill!
I am so proud of him
