Tell me about it, I completely agree with you there. Bonus because all motor reliability can't be beat.

I ended up going with Jamaican Teal for the valve cover

You have teal? OOPS!

I was going to powder coat the coil brackets coming a purple color. Teal + Purple = Sexual Assault Awareness
Already have that purple water pump pulley.

anywho, I may move forward with some rust repair and repaint, along with front and rear bumper modifications. I have a vibrant intercooler coming in, and need to relocate my A/C dryer for it to fit properly and do some piping changes.

So I started to pull out the A/C stuff and redo some wiring mess that has bugged me for a while. While changing out fan setups (the FM fan's are nuts) I noticed that my coolant level was quite low. I'm actually worried, and not sure how long it's been like this and hope I haven't fucked my engine somehow. I don't notice any leaks, or smells in operation, but I did notice some frothy white residue here and there. I'm wondering if it's as simple as a radiator cap.

Anyway, I have new condenser that isn't molested by rocks and a single fan that flows better than either of the FM Spal fans, but not as quite as much as both at the same time as to reduce the load on the car. I'm a bit down because my mind is racing to find problems or other symptoms I may have ignored. I don't feel like spec'ing out another motor and if it does fail, this will probably be a part out. I was going to take it to the body shop this week too......

Do you all still roll around with the big plastic bumper bit, or do leave them off?

Also cut my bumper the other day. My exhaust is crooked, my life is over.

So after installing all new condenser, evaporator, compressor, drier/accumulator and used NA8 hardlines, I find that the pressure switch uses a different plug. I'm wondering if it's worth it to just swap out the pressure switch from my R12 lines or to try to source the pigtail from an NA8. After that I just need to take it to a shop to pull vacuum on the system and charge with whatever the kids are huffing these days.

I found the coolant leak, it was from a hose clamp on the thermostat housing. I replaced it and it holds, but I hope the head gasket is still fine. Again, I have no clue how long I've been driving around with low coolant.

My horns work, auxiliary horn relay installed.

New fan works, saved a bunch of space. My alternator seems to manage it well and it doesn't cycle any worse than with the FM fans.

Got these in and 15 minutes later I'm off to an airport. Sucks I'm going to be so distracted on my trip. Car is at the body shop anyway, it'll be two weeks before I can move forward with any installs. :(

It'll be a whole new car in the next two months. New paint, new suspension, new control arms, new wheels and tires, new diff, new fuel system, new fuel.

Rust repair and paint (same color). Hopefully done next week. Then need to figure out radiator shrouding/intercooler piping redo and all the subframe/control arms/suspension/brakes/wheels/tires.
