Dunno. My boost control sux right now. I'm having trouble getting a good balance. If I tune it for a pull starting in 4th at like 2500rpm and get a good curve, it overboosts really hard on quick throttle application. And if I tune it for quick throttle it overboosts when doing a long pull. So I've got some work to do still. Havent had a lot of time/motivation.

How many miata owners does it take to set up EFR boost control?

Many. Many miata owners. I'll hopefully have time tonight to mess with things and since I'm not on "poop" levels of boost, it may be easier to test

I started making a new thread in the MS section specifically about EFR bcs and MS3 1.4.0 boost control.

Then I accidentally closed the page. I'll probably make it tonight

I think its getting common enough for us to develop a proper approach.

If lower is better, there's a 20Hz and 15Hz options under High Frequency Range
19.5Hz and 15.6Hz under Low Frequency Range

Any rhyme or reason to such close operating frequencies under two different advertised ranges?

For sake of documentation, here is where preload is currently sitting. If it's more or less about boost control, I may back it off a turn.

Before this all started, it was only showing a thread. I'll back it back out tomorrow, but am still stumped on the oscillating.

Would it make any sense to pull the line off the wastegate to see if it flutters without the EBC?

I would suspect its because open loop boost control.

Being that you have your open loop table pretty close, going to closed loop should remedy your problems. That said, I don't have experience with MS boost control and how it references different tables. That's the whole purpose of going closed loop though (to remove oscillations and change in boost levels from environmental fluctuations and change in load)

Spend some time and go closed loop.

Closed loop is to handle changing environments. You should be able to get stable boost control with open loop at a specific temperature, etc. If you have unstable boost control its going to be hard for closed loop to fix that, it will constantly be fighting itself.

We need logs. Post them plz.

Here are some. Sometimes D.C. area is not conducive to lengthy stretches of clear road. Or speed cameras, or belt way cameras, or EZPass, or State Troopers, or gradual right mini vans.

What he is trying to say is that anything over 80mph means a real possibility of pound me in the *** prison. VA has some great gun laws, not so much driving laws.

nope.
I suggest that you provide input/suggestions from experience rather than just random guesses (no offense, but we're actually trying to diagnose an issue here)

Correct. This has nothing to do with open or closed loop boost control. also his is set up such that the flex fuel blending also blends boost.
He hits his target boost numbers, and he even holds them til redline.

There's just that jitteriness up top that we're trying to diagnose here. Pre-load seems to be ruled out.

Should that e85 table have 85/100% duty cycle that high in the last two columns? I think that was last ditch efforts at PTuning to get it to peak over 28psi, but it never did. Should that be reduced or tapered otherwise?

I don't think theres anything wrong with those duty cycles, at least for now until we figure out why it's not going any higher, but we'll certainly re-visit that table once we move on to e85 tuning.

Reduce solenoid frequency to get higher duties.
