Oregon minimum wage jumps to $14/hr on July1.
40hrs x $14/hr = $560/wk (this is essentially what my 17yr old daughter is earning as she does her fast food job)
If she lost her minimum wage job, according to the stat calculator, she'd potentially be paid $295/wk
Government Unemployment subsidy add-on is $300
$600/wk = $15/hr. So, to get a job, she'd take a $1/hr income cut. But somehow people think that is proof that businesses need to pay more. But then they are surprised when hamburgers and sandwiches jump in price. Like how many more hamburgers would a restaurant need to sell per day to add an extra dollar to every employee's hourly wage?
When the Great Whisperer leaned in close to the microphone to say "pay them more", while at the same time his extra "benefit" bonus money is adding ~$500/week to unemployment benefits, that was the final nail in the coffin of the new class of "Government Trust Fund Babies'.

It's not about the $1. Sheesh. Take a look at the new electronic kiosks at McDonald's and elsewhere. Some nice kids in South Korea are making money creating those for us, and McDonald's is staying price competitive despite the minimum wage increases. Go figure.
Socialists have NO ROOM to squeak about this BS at all, especially when they're artificially lowering the wage levels by opening the Southern border. Does no one think that there's not a robust underground economy that uses these shlubs for any and all work, depressing wages for Americans that would otherwise want to work? Ridiculous. The cherry on top is always the Bourgeoisie Class who subsidize their children to go learn a skill as an "intern" at a company where they have some "pull". The kids learn a skill, meet the people they need to meet, and then make more money in their first year of work than the lower class kids made in five years working their way up the ladder. You can act the Socialist part in demanding a "living wage" while at the same time sending young Francis and Audra to intern at a shiny hedge fund. Gee, I wonder if that's how it happened with Hunter Biden?
