I've put a lot of miles on class C rigs, but this is gonna be my first fully boondocking experience. No reservations, no hookups, no water beyond what I'm carrying. 20 gal in the RV fresh tank, plus 45 gal in portable bladders. It's possible that my grey tank might accidentally spring a leak from time to time when no one is looking.
In the long term, that's my retirement dream. Following the weather up and down the western US. So I've decided it'd be a wise idea to do some dry runs (pun very much intended) to make sure that dream is realistic.
Not in a class A of course, you bourgeoise swine. (joking) Don't think I didn't spend a lot of time considering it, but my personal preferences lean towards something with AWD and a short turning radius. Thor Compass 23TW is the model that tickles my pickle at present.
Next week's reservation is a 20 footer.
Anyway, politics:
These cats are unconcerned with all forms of political theater.

It occurs to me that printing trillions of dollars in a deliberate attempt to cause inflation actually does achieve a goal.
It devalues the wealth that ordinary folk like me have been foolish enough to keep in the form of cash. It makes us poorer, and that moves us closer to an "everyone is equal" utopia.
Yes, if you push that button hard enough for long enough, then we will all be equally poor.

You have finally stumbled upon the great philosophy of communism. Everyone suffers equally. But since everyone is screaming for equality, I guess they are getting what they want.
Of important note here is that the US will accomplish this equality without waving the flag of communism which just goes to show: what's in a name?

Anyway, here's woke journalism, 2022 edition:
Struggling to make ends meet with your liberal-arts degree in an economy which has been battered by state-mandated lockdowns followed by unprecedented dilution of the dollar, with inflation at a 40 year high and housing prices rising at an all-time record pace due to federal policies which incentivize the purchase of real estate as a speculative investment?
Just move back in with your parents, Jack.
It's not like they were looking forward to enjoying their autumn years without the burden of feeding your lazy ***, and maybe even taking a bit of pride in seeing their children go out into the world and flourish on their own.

But they're opposed to socialism, mind you. Because redistributing wealth isn't socialism so long as the person doing it is wearing a red hat rather than a blue one.

Everything I wrote above is factually correct. Rankings of US states by GDP per capita, and by federal public-assistance consumption (welfare, food stamps, medicaid, housing, etc) per capita are easy to find.
I was specifically responding to your assertion concerning "the coastal people who push communism..." earlier. While I grant you that "Communism" is a big word which can be interpreted in many ways, it is effectively one flavor of Socialism. And the most common real-world implementation of Socialism as a whole in the US takes the form of public-assistance programs such as those I mentioned earlier.
If you exclude Social Security and Medicare (which I think is half-fair, as many of the recipients of those programs actually paid to fund them in prior years), then the rest of entitlement spending, such as medicaid, food stamps, welfare, housing assistance, child tax credits, and other such handouts constitutes roughly a third of the entire federal budget. Much more than all military spending and foreign aid combined.
If you include Social Security and Medicare, plus things like federally-subsidized education and whatnot (which, again, I think is half-fair as they are, after all, government social programs which disproportionately redistribute wealth from high earners to low earners), then it's closer to 75% of the entire federal budget.
Again, easy to verify this if you don't believe me.
And who are the people and the politicians voting for all of this entitlement spending? Pretty much 100% of them are democrats and republicans, which are by far the largest pro-socialist political parties in the US today.

Also yes I don't understand why people get so hung up on the military budget when it constitutionally should be the government's biggest spending, and is thoroughly eclipsed by stupid socialist programs.

In the context of attacking socialist economic policy, you state that comparing GDP per capita across red states and blue states is unfair because the discrepancy between them is due in part to "income inequality."
But, is citing "income inequality" not one of the most leftist points of view possible in economic theory? And, also, isn't the fact that different people have different levels of productivity kind of the whole point of measuring per-capita GDP in the first place?
I'm not trying to attack you personally here, I'm just trying to understand what you're trying to convey.
Yes, people who live in historically red counties / states tend to have lower levels of income than those who do not. And, because of this, these people also tend to receive Federal handouts (welfare, food stamps, etc) at a disproportionately high rate as compared to the country as a whole. And, thus, the politicians who represent these people tend to vote in favor of the programs, which are by definition a form of socialism, that fund said handouts.
We seem to be saying the same thing, and yet I feel like you're calling me out for... something.
Remember that the Constitution (Article I, section 8) grants Congress the authority "to raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years"
Here is a cat which vaguely resembles Vladimir Lenin:

Income inequality is one of the few few leftist economic theories that has any merit, unfortunately like all of their decent ideas they apply it poorly as all hell. As I stated father up they don't understand that they are rich.
With these leftist cities having higher than a average income it makes all luxuries cost less as a % of their income. They are rich compared to most others.
As for why their GDP argument is ******* stupid it goes back to their over inflated income, it doesn't most of their money is vapor.

"A retired Buffalo police officer, who was working as a security guard at the store, confronted the gunman and shot him. Authorities said the gunman was hit, but his tactical gear prevented injury."
I wouldn't be surprised to see new regulations surrounding body armor. This is such a specific thing to report on.

I've read some of what that guy posted as his manifesto, he covered enough bases that everyone will be able to cherry-pick what they want to take away from the mess to pursue their own agenda (kind of like how different churches interpret the Bible).

I'm not uniquely outraged by the Buffalo massacre.
For one, it took place at Tops. Smart people (well, smart aside from living in Buffalo) shop at Wegmans. I have been a Buffalonian (on a contract basis) in the past, so I speak from a position of experience on this. Tops is the Winn-Dixie of cold places. (Winn-Dixie, if you're unfamiliar, is the Food Lion of hot places.)
For two, those are rookie numbers. I mean, that's just a typical summer weekend in Chicago. The only difference is the skin color of the shooter.
