Side note--my VERY RED dropbox ballot was not counted, apparently because the signature I've been using for decades did not match. I was able to get that fixed, but how many others didn't even bother to check?

Waiting to see if it holds true, but I read that Ukraine took some of its US money and bought crypto through FTX. Then FTX sends some of that back to the dems campaigns.

Been trying to connect the dots on the FTX claims.

Easily provable facts:

1: The US government is giving a lot of of money and military equipment to the Ukrainian government.

2: FTX is a cryptocurrency exchange which was founded in the Bahamas in 2019. Its primary business model seems to have been attracting investors and taking their money.

3: Private individuals in the US and elsewhere have, to date, donated somewhere around $100 million (accounts very due to fluctuations in value) worth of various cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, DOT, Ether, SOL, Tether, and others to the "Aid for Ukraine" organization, which appears to have since disappeared. https://donate.thedigital.gov.ua/

4: This currency passed through Everstake, FTX, and Kuna for the purpose of conversion on its way to unknown recipients, presumably the government of Ukraine.

5: Sam Bankman-Fried, the owner of FTX, personally donated $39.8 million to various Democrat-aligned campaigns in 2022.

6: As of today, FTX has effectively collapsed, with nearly all of its funds missing. Estimates vary wildly, but it appears that somewhere between $2 billion and $5 billion worth of investors' money is unaccounted for.

Recent assertions:

1: FTX was engaged in laundering money for Democrats in the US, by receiving money from the Ukrainian government (which was given to it by the US), and then giving that money to Democratic campaigns in the US.

Statements which appear to be factual:

1: The assertion above appears to be fallacious, because it supposes that money was moving in the opposite direction. FTX has certainly taken money from the US and moved it to the Ukraine, which is exactly what it said it was doing. There is no evidence that it moved money from the Ukraine into the US.

2: $2-5 billion is a lot more than $39.8 million. FTX certainly has all of the appearance of a classic Ponzi scheme.

3: The $39.8 million donated by Sam Bankman-Fried to Democratic campaigns in the US appears to have simply been stolen from FTX's investors.

Apparently he is under watch in the Bahamas and may be trying to flee to Dubai. Something tells me he'll make it there or somewhere else that doesn't have extradition policies.

On another note I guess the Democrats gained control of the Senate. If they legitimately won that's up for debate. All these extremely close call elections makes me question things.

I heard rumblings when they were looking for a naming partner that a **** studio was looking to get their name on the arena. Obviously they were shunned as they were considered a shady, unscrupulous business which Miami-Dade County didn't want to be associated with. Irony is a wonderful comedian.

Miami-Dade is now trying to get 3 years of payment from a bankrupt company as the contract stipulates that in case of insolvency, that's what FTX owes them. Squeezing water out of rocks is even funnier.

^That's amusing as hell. Selling naming rights is a bad policy when they do it for elementary and middle schools also, just like naming schools after administrators and school board leeches.

When you have a week to see how many votes your competition has, it's easy to add just the right amount of votes needed to win.

Maricopa County turnout numbers on Election Day at 8:00 PM:

Republicans received 52.7% of the vote.
“Other” received 30.7% of the vote.
Democrats received 16.6% of the vote.

you literally don't need to campaign or spend any money if you just turn in filled in ballots with your name checked.

2340832 total votes for treasurer

2397179 total votes for governor

Now is about the time Joe jumps in and calls me a conspiracy theorist. But I will say, the best thing about being a conspiracy theorist is not having myocarditis.

bonus points: not dying suddenly either.

It isn't widespread, I wouldn't worry about it,

Maricopa election officials launched PAC in 2021 to stop MAGA candidates

The PAC called Pro Democracy Republicans of Arizona claims on their website that they are "fighting to keep our democratic institutions alive."
Election Officials are politically asexual, trust them.

Weird, that headline reads like a Democratic dog whistle... Coincidental, I'm sure.

Have you never intentionally left a vote uncast on your ballot?

Do you not find it reasonable that approximately 2 percent of the population were both "uninterested or uninformed about the treasurer race" and simultaneously independent enough in thought to be "not willing to make a choice purely for the sake of clicking the (D) or the (R)"?

I'd venture to say that those who were only "uninterested or uninformed about the treasurer race" was probably north of 75%, and if that were true, then really only about 2.7% of those folks would have needed to be disinterested in the candidates' political affiliations.

In 2022, nearly 30% of Florida voter registrations were either to "minor parties" or "no party affiliation" (at a 1:20 ratio) - which sure, "no party affiliation" probably just means they didn't vote in the primary, but that's still 30% of the electorate who either doesn't care as much about the political process, or actually considers themselves "independent" - that's a huge pool to pull from to get to 2% of the vote that checked a box for "governor" (a big name election) and did not check a box for "treasurer" (what does the treasurer do again?).

I've often skipped over a race without voting when I felt uninformed about the race, because the alternative would be simply voting for the name of the person who sounded most like my circle of friends / family, and that seems to me to be an irresponsible way to select a candidate.

me, never?

look at the numbers again:

~200K people voted for the Republican Treasurer and presumably the Democrat Governor.
The Treasurer has more R votes than both the Senator and Governor, but the D Treasurer has 200K less than the D Senator or D Governor. Seems really odd.

it's really odd these disparities keep happening in counties that don't know how to count or very susceptible to water main breaks...

I wonder how many journalist were suspended for saying Trump stole the election in 2016 and/or is a Russian agent...
