U.S. -- Former President has been indicted by a federal judge in Pennsylvania for inciting an assassination attempt that nearly killed him.
"Trump is clearly at fault for someone attempting to murder him with a rifle," said Judge Paul Stephenson. "He brought this on himself, and we will ensure justice is done."
According to sources, the motion to indict Trump was filed roughly thirty seconds after the failed assassination attempt. "It was obvious by that point that Trump had caused a man to fire several bullets at him," said District Attorney Jan Marsh. "If Trump were not literally Hitler, no one would have tried to kill him in the first place. It's time we in the legal system go after Hitler and not the people trying to murder Hitler."
At publishing time, Trump had been indicted again for Secret Service shooting the would-be assassin.
Biden's Popularity Skyrockets After He Announces Trump Is His VP
U.S. -- In a much-needed surge in popularity after disastrous debate performances and gaffe-filled public appearances, Presiden Joe Biden's popularity skyrocketed overnight after he announced Donald Trump as his vice presidential running mate.
The announcement came during a highly anticipated press conference, with Biden making the shocking declaration that Trump had replaced Kamala Harris as Vice President. Pollsters revealed the announcement of Trump as VP did wonders for Biden's dwindling approval rating.
"He's never seen numbers like this," said political analyst James Broyles. "Even at his highest points, he's struggled to gain traction with a broad base of voters. Naming Trump as his VP last night totally changed that. His popularity among nearly every voting block is through the roof. This might turn the tide in the election."
I understand the desire of editors / producers to try to avoid rushing to the headline and getting it wrong, but those seemed too outlandish to be real. I was wrong.
The next few months are going to be wild. That's literally the only thing I am confident it right now.

Joe, are you sure you were wrong? It's been more than 24 hours and despite seeing them referenced multiple times, I'm still having doubts those headlines were real. It seems impossible... the news outlets would have to assume no one would follow up. Anyone actually following this story would certainly come back for more, and even diehard Trump haters would be critical of the obvious bias. My brain is not able to process this as propaganda the elite believed the average citizen would accept.

They're real. The 2 takeaways should be:
1) If this was Twitter 1.0, ALL of this information would be banned, along with the people who posted it.
2) There's certainly wrong information on X. It get's fact-checked in real time, removed, added to. It's citizen journalism, rather than the force-fed lies we get now.
--the guys who said the Steve Scalise shooter was "suicide by cop"
--the guys who created 15 illegal FISA warrant requests to spy on Trump
--the guys who won't confirm how many undercover agents were inside the Capitol on J6 (Ray Epps, anyone?)
--the guys who signed a letter saying that Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation
--the guys who sat on the same laptop for FOUR YEARS
--and so on, and so on....
I'm feeling like they'll get to the bottom of this one...
