Elon Musk just pulled back the curtain on what's really fueling government waste and fraud. Speaking with Senator Ted Cruz, he revealed there are at least 14 "magic money computers" that can "send money out of nothing," meaning these government systems are issuing trillions in payments with little oversight or real-time accountability.
Musk explained that these computers don't operate in a way where they "talk to each other." Instead, Musk explained they function in a way that allows money to move through government agencies unchecked, sometimes in ways that don't align with official records.
The numbers lawmakers see aren't always accurate, with government books potentially off by 5% to 10%. That could mean up to hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars are misallocated or disappearing, while the actual financial activity remains hidden deep inside these systems.
"So you may think that the government computers all talk to each other. They synchronize, they add up what funds are going somewhere, and it's coherent that the numbers, for example, that you're presented as a senator are actually the real numbers. They're not," Musk explained.
"They're not totally wrong," he continued. "They're probably off by 5% or 10% in some cases. So I call it Magic Money Computer. Any computer which can just make money out of thin air. That's Magic Money."
"So how does that work?" Ted Cruz asked.
"It just issues payments," Musk answered. "I think we found now 14 magic money computers. They just send money out of nothing."
He explained, "The government is run by computers. So you've got essentially several hundred computers that effectively run the government. So when somebody, like, even when the President issues an executive order, that's got to go through a whole bunch of people until ultimately it is implemented at a computer somewhere," Musk explained.
"And if you want to know what the situation is with the accounting and you're trying to reconcile accounting and get rid of waste and fraud, you must be able to analyze the computer databases. Otherwise, you can't figure it out because all you're doing is asking a human who will then ask another human, ask another human, and finally usually ask some contractor who will ask another contractor to do a query on the computer," Musk lamented.
"That's how it actually works," he stressed. "So it's many layers deep. So the only way to reconcile the databases and get rid of waste and fraud is to actually look at the computers and see what's going on. That's what I sort of cryptically referred to, reprogramming the matrix. You have to understand what's going on in the computers. You have to reconcile the computer databases in order to identify the waste of fraud."
I have long held that there is no need for those of us on the right to fabricate false narratives. That's something which we've criticized the left for doing for years, and now I'm starting to see it creep into the MAGA narrative as well.
Fair enough, and I agree that it isn't necessary or helpful.
But everyone seems to be jumping on the "look at me" bandwagon, and making poor memes is one way of doing that.
The Enstupiding of The American Educational System
An article by El Gato Malo
"If one aspired to the long term destruction of a society, it would be difficult to improve upon "turning its institutions of learning into calamitous clown colleges whose output lacks basic skills or grounding" and then mandating that all children participate in that system for an enormous portion of their childhood.
"We're reaching a point where the whole affair has become outright embarrassing. the "democratization of college" whereby what was once an institution for the top 5% of humans has become one catering to a full 50% as some sort of daycare for dimwits..."

Harvard is accepting students who can't do algebra.
No Illinois school on this list contains a student who can read at grade level. Not one student.
If they're not white, and they can't do algebra, they still get admission to a university with algebra-capable whites? Seems like they will have trouble competing, which increases the odds that they'll drop out and have a new set of problems for others to fix.
Unless you're a sports person apparently. I'm learning this is a thing based off random "how did you get into (ivy league school name)" youtube shorts, and my kid's soccer teams. Due to older kids leaving for club teams once they got to high school, my son's travel team dissolved last year. He joined a local affordable* club team. He's a 2012, in 7th grade. And there's kids on his team that are in 5th grade. Parents hold their kids back so they are 'super seniors' in high school or some ****. yeah these parents are ******* nuts, choosing this 'you're doing all sports forever' when their kids are 5 years old already. They seem otherwise normal people until you learn their kid is in class with my younger son.
Jokes on them when the soccer scholarships go to Europeans or latinos, cause pay to play soccer doesn't make the best players.
*it's ******* nuts but not 5 figures like some Princeton area club teams which aren't that good anyway.
I stewed on this a minute and thought the child may have worked for the "wrong" political campaign and included that politician's name in the application. It could be that bias and/or the assumed racial component.
30-49 year old white liberal males are more than 3 times as likely to have a mental disorder than conservatives of the same age, 29.7% versus 7.8%. That is a huge difference.
That seems to jive with the dystopian world view I hear espoused from members of that group occasionally. Being unable to assess the world around you logically because you have been taught not to believe or properly grasp logic may be an underlying contributor to mental disorders in that group, I postulate.
Almost one third of liberal men from 30 to 50 have a diagnosed mental disorder. That is a large population. {sarcasm font} The other two thirds haven't been diagnosed yet.
Additionally, I wonder how many liberal females inaccurately joined the liberal male group because of their mental disorder? Hahahaha...

Despite the Supreme Court's 2023 ruling that race-based college admission policies are unconstitutional, affirmative action appears to be alive and well.
Here is an article about a recent data breach and website hack against New York University (a state-wide system with 59,000 students), in which the attacker published the statistics for admission by SAT, ACT and GPA scores for the NYU's most recent group of admitted students, sorted by race, as the front page of the organization's website.
Here is an archive of what it looked like, along with a breakdown of the exact parameters used to sort the data, listed under the heading "Reprodocution" which expands out when clicked: https://web.archive.org/web/20250322...//www.nyu.edu/
The charts are more or less exactly what you'd expect. And here is a link to an archived copy of the complete raw data.
Now, this is the incoming 2024 class, whose applications were likely all submitted in 2023, some of which might have been approved prior to the SCOTUS ruling which came on June 29, 2023.
