NEW YORK (AP) — The late Aretha Franklin’s family said Monday that it found an Atlanta pastor’s eulogy delivered at the Queen of Soul’s funeral last week to be offensive and distasteful.
The eulogist, the Rev. Jasper Williams Jr., was criticized for a political address that described children being in a home without a father as “abortion after birth” and said black lives do not matter unless blacks stop killing each other. Franklin’s funeral was on Friday.

This movie sounds like another "hate the cops because they are all racist" story from Hollywood. They have stereotypes about the military, Southerners, and rural dwellers as well.
What was the movie where Kevin Spacey was a pedophile who was fantasizing about his daughter's best friend and there was a hard-nosed right-wing crew cut next door neighbor who was repressing homosexual desires? It was called American something. I remember audible groans and people getting up an leaving when the hard-nosed anti-gay neighbor tried to kiss Kevin Spacey.

As I recall, it was fairly controversial movie at the time (probably what helped with the Oscars). FWIW I always thought Annette Bening was hot . Follow-on reviews years later were pretty meh

it's just another lefitst movie trying to normalize child-rape -- and of course Spacey was part of it. he probably wrote the script himself to star in it. He probably had a lot to do with making Underwood gay too.

As much as I disagree with the Colin Kaepernick endorsement, in another way — I mean, I wouldn’t have done it. In another way, it is what this country is all about, that you have certain freedoms to do things that other people think you shouldn’t do, but I personally am on a different side of it.

I mean this seriously, some of us have lives / work during the hours when our employers are paying us to work. Not everyone is a government employee and/or married to a person who I have to assume is the most understanding, forgiving, tolerant human on earth.

over the last few months, I continue to be amazed at teh pure mass of internet articles you, Brain, are able to provide. I dont have enough time to read all this stuff, let alone dig it all up. Often a comment spurs 3 or 4 massive articles on vastly different subjects. Like you have an arsenal of stories cashed with some amazing algorithm to automatically respond to a wide assortment of topic. usually responding within minutes. Im not saying its bad, Im just not sure you are actually a human. Bot with highly advanced AI being tuned since 2005? halp me understand.

Often a comment spurs 3 or 4 massive articles on vastly different subjects.
